FOX's NASCAR coverage also earned them a 1.5 18-49 rating for the evening.
CBS’s 48 Hours Mystery was flat with last week's 0.9 in adults 18-49, and was the only new programming on CBS
On NBC, Escape Routes was even with last week's 0.3 adults 18-49 rating. The Firm was up two-tenths to a 0.5, compared to the 0.3 its last episode earned.

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.
Definitions:
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent. More information on ratings is available here.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Fast National Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

“48 Hours” rose to 1.0 in the finals last week.
ABC “premiered” both The Blind Side and Alice in Wonderland on the ABC Family network instead of ABC broadcast. That makes little sense to me unless ABC Family is a different entity and they bought the rights. It’s like Disney is saying the cable network is more important.
” It’s like Disney is saying the cable network is more important.”
Quite likely ABC Family makes more money than ABC broadcast considering both subscriber fees and advertising revenue.
@Patsy
When NBC announced that The Firm would move to Saturday nights, they also announced that it had been cancelled. They had to air all 22 ordered episodes though, because of some financial plan that they had since The Firm is an American/Canadian show. So the bottom line is that The Firm is cancelled.
“When NBC announced that The Firm would move to Saturday nights, they also announced that it had been cancelled.”
They made no such announcement of cancellation, networks almost never do. However, the move to Saturday is a defacto cancellation.
“They had to air all 22 ordered episodes though, because of some financial plan that they had”
They didn’t *have* to, but by “financial plan” you mean, “NBC had already paid for all of the episodes, so they decided what the hell, might as well air them”, then, yes.
svu repeats at 10pm better than ncis or the mentalist…that’s kind of weird…
ABC did great with The Blind Side. The movie was able to pull in more overall total viewers than NBC garners on Thursday Night.
This past Saturday (April 28th), the English-language broadcast nets drew about 19 million total viewers in prime-time.
But with the hyped “Marvel’s Avengers” opening this weekend, and the possibility of good weather across much of the country, those numbers may be cut in half next Saturday night (May 5th).
@Patsy
I agree. The first episode of The Firm didn’t hook me in, but after watching the next two, I was hooked. Very slim chance it gets renewed or picked up. In fact, I kind of resigned that it probably won’t be back. But, I’m going to enjoy the rest of the series while it lasts and I am definitely purchasing the DVD set when it is released.
ABC shouldve known they was going to do so great on Saturday cause they had a fraking blockbuster film that did good at the box office and first of all its a Saturday! NBC doesnt have Anything good but SNL! CBS has boring repeats ! FOX has boring nascar ! CW not even in station!
Why does NBC even attempted to air a boring competition show on saturday knowing it was going to be a flop!
Brodcasting sucks on Saturday!
