New Obama slogan has long ties to Marx*sm, socialism
The slogan “Forward!” reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism. “Forward!” Is a Hitl*r Youth Marching Tune (video available)
Something to wonder about. Has any other president run for RE-ELECTION against the record of his retired predecessor? Obama blamed Bush in the first 20 seconds of his new video.

My, my, my. This is an interesting article by one of my favorite pollsters, Stu Rothenberg.

Occupiers Open May Day Festivities With Mass Rioting and Vandalism in San Francisco
They started early…. a “roving band of “anarchists” smashing car windows and store fronts in San Francisco’s Mission District.”
@Coffee Steve
Every year at this time it might be a good time to drive instead of flying. Just to be safe.
@Ratboy
*Word this morning on many financial blogs is banks will soon layoff up to 21,000 workers and eliminate many positions, and many banks once again are on the brink of failing.
I also read a report that, the post I put on here yesterday has merit. The charts are showing the housing market has no chance to rebound to any decent levels in our lifetimes.
And many financial businesses are beginning to hold a series of meetings to try and adjust before another meltdown, which they all feel is coming ithin 2 years.
@d.d.
Good Morning
North Carolina looks like a mess for Democrats.
When I was flying over the US in my reporting days, every single chart I seen showed North Carolina will NOT go to the Dems this time around.
@USNretiredx2
Good Morning
The report on the “Inside the body Bombs” is being reported as not credible, however the TSA is going to extra efforts at airports just in case. Yes, thats normal for this time of year and any big events, but I have also noticed extra security efforts aroun town for the Derby this weelenn as well.

SEALs slam Obama for using them as ‘ammunition’ in bid to take credit for bin Laden killing during election campaign
Serving and former US Navy SEALs have slammed President Barack Obama for taking the credit for killing Osama bin Laden and accused him of using Special Forces operators as ‘ammunition’ for his re-election campaign.
The SEALs spoke out to MailOnline after the Obama campaign released an ad entitled ‘One Chance’
OOOOPS did somebody forget to do the research first??
New Obama slogan has long ties to Marxism, socialism
?
The Obama campaign apparently didn’t look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, “Forward” — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.
Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name “Forward!” or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called “Forward (generic name of socialist publications).”
“The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications,” the online encyclopedia explains.
The slogan “Forward!” reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.
The Obama campaign released its new campaign slogan Monday in a 7-minute video. The title card has simply the word “Forward” with the “O” having the familiar Obama logo from 2008. It will be played at rallies this weekend that mark the Obama re-election campaign’s official beginning.
There have been at least two radical-left publications named “Vorwaerts” (the German word for “Forward”). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky. It still publishes as the organ of Germany’s SDP, though that party has changed considerably since World War II. Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.
East Germany named its Army soccer club ASK Vorwaerts Berlin (later FC Vorwaerts Frankfort).
Vladimir Lenin founded the publication “Vpered” (the Russian word for “forward”) in 1905. Soviet propaganda film-maker Dziga Vertov made a documentary whose title is sometimes translated as “Forward, Soviet” (though also and more literally as “Stride, Soviet”).
Conservative critics of the Obama administration have noted numerous ties to radicalism and socialists throughout Mr. Obama’s history, from his first political campaign being launched from the living room of two former Weather Underground members, to appointing as green jobs czar Van Jones, a self-described communist.
Democrat comic scorches Obama again
“The President is lying to get votes … it’s obvious and transparent,” Lovitz, a self-proclaimed Democrat who voted for Obama in 2008, said on his Twitter feed Saturday night.
Lovitz was responding to criticism from those apparently in his own party, after the comic in January went on a graphic, four-letter word diatribe against Obama, calling him “a f—ing a–hole.”
Lovitz seemed a bit surprised his comments became widely reported, tweeting, “Because I criticized the President, it’s news? Last I checked, he’s President, not King! This is America! Freedom of Speech. what’s the bfd?”
One apparent liberal named Peg said to Lovitz, “This is red meat for conservatives who are trying to prove the whole country hates him, you gave them ammo, they’re using it.”
“Excuse me,” responded Lovitz, “the President is lying … I just pointed it out. It’s not my fault he’s lying.”

This one is just for you Coffee Steve! Remember, stay calm, breathe, and consider the source Mr Looney Tunes Schultz
MSNBC’s Schultz and Wolffe Fret Over Romney ‘Cheap Shot’ at Jimmy Carter
On Monday’s The Ed Show on MSNBC, as host Ed Schultz and MSNBC political analyst Richard Wolffe – formerly of Newsweek – discussed Mitt Romney’s crack on President Obama that even President Carter would have had the judgment to order the killing of Osama bin Laden once the 9/11 mastermind had been found, the two MSNBC personalities fretted that Romney had taken a “cheap shot” at Jimmy Carter.
Schultz asserted that “I think he owes Jimmy Carter an apology,” with Wolffe chiming in that “It’s time to pay a little bit more respect than that.”
And, without noting that the unemployment rate was fairly high when Carter took office, while it was already low when former President George W. Bush took office, thus making it more difficult for there to be a higher net increase in jobs during a Bush presidency, Wolffe suggested that Carter’s presidency was better for the economy than the Bush administration was. Wolffe:
But here’s a President who had a 10 times better job record than President Bush did. He was responsible for Camp David. That’s not a bad record for anyone, certainly for someone who’s had one term as a Massachusetts governor.
Below is a transcript of the relevant exchange from the Monday, April 30, The Ed Show on MNSBC:
ED SCHULTZ: I don’t think Mitt Romney understands the gravity of some of the decisions that are made in the Oval Office, and I think he owes Jimmy Carter an apology. I mean, Jimmy Carter put lives on the line and made a tough call, and then had to abort the mission. And Mitt Romney, for him to say that, you know, Jimmy Carter would have made that call, what do you make of Romney’s cheap shot?
I mean, I make of it that it is just that. It’s low rent, it’s a cheap shot, and Romney’s never been there and never done that. He doesn’t know what it’s like to make a decision like that. To invoke a former President and his action, and to degrade him like that, your thoughts, Richard? I haven’t seen this before.
RICHARD WOLFFE: Yeah, Jimmy Carter is – look, he’s a prickly character, and so people – and he lost an election – so people find it easy to kick him around. But here’s a President who had a 10 times better job record than President Bush did. He was responsible for Camp David. That’s not a bad record for anyone, certainly for someone who’s had one term as a Massachusetts governor. It’s time to pay a little bit more respect than that.
Coffee, Adbusters is carrying May Day Occupy live , too. I’ve glanced at that to start my day. Not much going on yet.

I’ve become more & more annoyed by the Democrats co-opting women’s rights. Obviously, schools no longer teach history. The GOP’s support of women’s rights goes back to its founding in 1854. Female voters owe their very ability to cast a ballot to Republicans over the vehement objections of the Democrats. This came about after a forty-year legislative war that started in 1878, when a California Republican named A.A. Sargent introduced the 19th Amendment only to see it voted down by a Democrat-controlled Congress. It ended 40 years later amid continued opposition from most elected Democrats — including President Woodrow Wilson.
As an interesting side note, Utah granted women the right to vote in 1870, nearly fifty years before Congress passed the 19th Amendment.

Was this the case ? I really don’t know, but , given President Obama’s personality , I can see this happening.

It was reported that an Admiral (Maybe USN) gave the actual order.
