    Thanks for sharing the link, looks cool! I’ve never gamed, but I always love it when people turn their passions into something awesome they can share with the world.

    One thing I learned you can’t believe everything you read on the internet.
    But I can give you some disrespectful things that happens at some cons once in a while from a dumb fan or two. I volunteered for a few it’s very fun, but it all depends on what city your in, some or more layed back then others.

    In you can’t forget some girls love to try in feel up J and J in the photo ops like they can get away with it.
    I think for you to say you hate J and J because of some of that is bull.
    You know Jensen actually gave up his one year anniversary to do a con.
    I know most people would not do that,so some fans need to chill there human like everybody else.

    From reading you comments you sound like you have more of a problem with Castiel so you hate everything else now.

    @John A
    FRINGE had a 1.1 in both half hours for preliminarys. I always assumed a show wouldnt adjust down then.

    It’s impossible to predict adjustments based on half-hour preliminaries.

    This must be the behind scene stuff you was talking about?

    @Restless – “By the way, I wouldn’t claim X-Files as proof, it lasted two seasons after Mulder was no longer starring to become the longest running sci-fi show until SG1 & SV hit ten seasons. :/”

    Nah, I would just say that it is proof that FOX couldn’t let a show die gracefully. The X-Files went downhill 2 years before Duchovny left and scraped the bottom of the barrel afterwards. Utterly unwatchable. Shame because its ending tarnished some of the beginning’s brilliance.

    I didn’t realize that Jensen and Jared had both previously said they would be at a con and then cancelled after people had bought their tickets. How incredibly disappointing for those fans. It’s a totally different thing than not committing to be at a con in the first place.

  • Mickey 1.0

    @Dahne

    When the con organizers sell the tickets, it’s with the explicit caveat that the actors who are advertised might not be able to make it. You buys your ticket and you takes your chances. They sell the tickets many months in advance, and all kinds of things can happen, like movies and babies. Also, as the previous poster said (I forget who) the actors hadn’t confirmed yet in those previous instances. In fact, Jared wasn’t confirmed for the two European cons he just pulled out of.

  • Fake Me Out

    I think the nets should brace themselves for some pretty weak ratings this upcoming weekend … just finished watching The Avengers and it was AWESOME! (Thank you advance opening in Europe) Advance ticket sales here in North America are huge from what I’ve seen, word of mouth is good, and this just seems to be a movie you gotta see on the big screen … it may be a bit of Fan Excuse Bingo but sometimes it’s the truth … I’m seeing across the board lows in this Friday.

    YMMV

    Help save Endgame and watch season 1 on Hulu and RIP Todd and the Book of Pure Evil

    @Mickey 1.0

    Well, thanks! That explains it. I guess it makes no sense for me to compare shows of different networks considering renewal/cancellation. But i’m just really sad that they’re gonna cancel CSI:NY…

    It’s all the same then. Just like SPN wouldn’t have lasted this long had it not aired on the CW.

  • IwuvDean

    @Fake Me Out
    Damn! Now i’m offically worried for next week’s SPN! 0.6, that i can take, but plz no 0.5!

  • Mickey 1.0

    @IwuvDean

    CSI:NY may yet survive. I had boiled down the explanation to its simplest form earlier, but other factors come into play. It’s on Fridays and will get special consideration for that. They probably have a syndication deal for it they want to keep feeding. They may not have other shows they want to put on Fridays. It’s classified as a toss-up so it could go either way; there are other shows on CBS with higher ratings that are also classified as a toss-up that might be cancelled in its stead.

    @Fake Me Out
    I think the nets should brace themselves for some pretty weak ratings this upcoming weekend …

    I like to think the nets take this into account and judge the low ratings accordingly. This is the reason Fridays are the worst night to be on, after all. Because people tend to go out rather than stay in and watch TV, especially because it’s the night movies premiere.

  • IwuvDean

    @Mickey 1.0
    I sure hope so! Fingers crossed for both SPN and CSI:NY. The wait is killing me! When will the CW announce SPN’s renewal?!

  • Tessa

    @KS (and anyone else who is disturbed by the behind the scene stuff)

    The Supernatural fandom has a certain culture that I’ve not seen in any other fandom I’ve been in. They have their own customs, rituals, behavior, and sometimes even language. Outsiders, even people from the press, don’t understand it because they aren’t privy to what goes on “behind the scene.” And what’s more, none of it has much of anything to do with the show. I went to one of the cons and they talked more about what was happening in the fandom than they did about the show. Stuff like Ducknation and GISHEHS got more attention than questions about the characters. You don’t have to like those things to like the show and hating them shouldn’t reflect on your judgment of the show. It’s just two completely separate concepts.

  • Sports Preemption

    @ Tessa

    Yea, I don’t know how anyone could vote against CW site traffic. They dominate a thread like no other, especially anything Friday related.

    I’ve just found it funny that about 5% of the SPN discussion has actually been about the ratings. All three genre shows are safe, but they still need to argue about something.

  • Tessa

    @Sports Preemption

    Lol, true. But we have to talk about something. ;)

    To be fair the Castiel debate sprung from worries over next week’s ratings so it was in a way ratings related. SPN is going to take another hit from a major movie premier (Avengers) and ironically enough, like last time (Hunger Games), it’s an episode with Castiel.

  • Restless

    @KS (if you happen to come back)
    Do you know where the Indian musical that Joey Dakota is based off of can be watched or purchased online?
    My sister cornered me with crazed eyes lamenting that she couldn’t find it and demanding I help her look. She is gaga over musicals and time travel. I think the only way she could be more excited about Joey Dakota would be if John Barrowman were starring.

    @Ashley & Mickey 1.0
    Those pictures are hilarious! xD

    Maybe KS also doesn’t like that Jared and Jensen don’t hate Misha like he does? :P Plus there’s other actors/characters getting attention at these cons, sidelining the Winchesters, hehe.

    @Tessa
    Yeah, or it could be that the cons are less about the show that has KS upset. For show stuff, ya can’t beat Comic-Con where the writers and show runners come and talk. The actors can only talk about their character interpretations so much (especially the dead characters). But the other cons do a good job bringing pure silliness. They’re a bit more like a stand up routine. I can understand why someone might be put off or disappointed.

    @Daphne
    Yeah I dunno. Obviously your opinion though. I’ve never watched more than a handful of the show, my current roommate rewatches it frequently but all he ever talks about is someone named Skinner. My X-Files knowledge is pitiful lol Didn’t they make a second movie after too? So yeah, a given they didn’t want to stop making the show. Back on point, Mulder leaving didn’t kill it.
    Eh, I’m not depressed enough to continue playing this game, I don’t want to really consider Sam or Dean being killed on Supernatural and the show continuing on for two more seasons plus a movie. :P I do not like character deaths. So whatever point you were trying to make with X-Files, I concede.

  • KS

    @Restless

    I didn’t understand, what exactly you are asking for. Can you kindly ask me in “my English”? I have no idea what Joey Dakota is. I don’t know how is it related to Indian musicals? Please you gotta explain me in a better way and let me see, if I could help you.

    And, please, your opinions on me are sounding as if, I am a fan of “slash Fiction between Winchesters”. For Heaven’s sake, PLEASE QUIT THAT. ALL THAT CRAP IS ENTIRELY OUT OF MY TERRITORY. I am a great fan of Family emotional aspects of Supernatural.
