One more thing, I did a little bit of research on internet, and found out that, Joey Dakota is based on Israeli show. Have you confused Israel with India?

  • willg

I was wondering if anybody could explain how a show gets adjusted down from it’s initial ratings? Thanks.

  • KS

If I praise the show, every one calls me crazy and mask me to tone it down.

If I point out at the things I don’t like and why, you say I am hateful and I better stop watching the show or posting.

I don’t understand, what exactly is going on.

  • Restless

Yes, I have egg on my face. It’s what I get for not hitting up Google before posting. I must have misheard her. Plus in my imperfect memory, for some reason I thought I saw you back when it got picked up saying you’d like it to go to series because it was Bollywood based or something and assumed you’d know something about it, but obviously I’m wrong about that too and who mentioned it hehe. I’m so sorry! Thank you anyway. No more late night postings fueled by energy drinks for me.

And sorry again, not meaning to imply you’re a Wincester/slash fan! Just remembering how you said you didn’t like Felicia Day, Bobby and Castiel getting more attention than Sam and Dean of late.

So anyway then, instead of us rudely speculating, why do you dislike the con stuff?

  • johnB

Supernatural, Certain to be renewed! Season finale should be awesome!

  • Shaula

Sorry, man, it’s just… You seem to hate everything about the show, you’re negative all the time and you saying you’re hating even Jared and Jensen just hit me like a slap.

I’m not saying you should stop watching or even posting. But if the internet and BTS is killing your enjoyment the much you said, I do suggest you to turn off and try and get it back.

And, please, your opinions on me are sounding as if, I am a fan of “slash Fiction between Winchesters”. For Heaven’s sake, PLEASE QUIT THAT. ALL THAT CRAP IS ENTIRELY OUT OF MY TERRITORY. I am a great fan of Family emotional aspects of Supernatural.

??? Nobody said anything even remotely like that. Ashley and I just posted pics of the actors goofing around together. Tessa just talked about stuff like GISHWSHES and Ducknation. The former is a crazy international scavenger hunt organized by Misha. They set a Guinness world record with it.

The latter is a hilarious story that goes like this: Jared is really tall and tends to walk around set reading script and stuff and banging his head on low-hanging awnings and equipment. So the crew took to hanging bright yellow rubber ducks off of things to remind Jared to “duck.” But they didn’t have enough of them, so the boys’ bodyguard, Clif Kosterman, tweeted a pic of the boys with their feet in a kiddie pool and a few ducks with the simple message “we need more ducks.”

The funny thing about this is it’s a completely candid shot, but it just happens to capture what I was talking about: look in the upper right hand corner.

And then, Supernatural fandom being what it is, it went to crazy lengths and became a Thing. People started sending in ducks from all over the world. Not only that, they started disguising them as Supernatural and other sci fi characters, finding the most outlandish rubber ducks they could get their hands on, painting them into beautiful works of art, or making jokes like sending a rubber rabbit and labeling it “Shapeshifter Duck.” Every day Clif kept tweeting pics of the ducks and in the end he had thousands of them.

If you scroll down a bit, you can see various pics Clif took of Duck nation.

First of all, I never thought my hating of conventions would provoke this much discussions. If I had known it before I would have never posted that comment.

Importantly, after looking at the pics I came to a conclusion that conventions are more of a Fan-girl thing. I wouldn’t feel comfortable attending a con.
Secondly, I don’t find the very spirit of Supernatural in the conventions. Its all some lame jokes and dumb comments only about the actors(no offense) not about the show. These are not M&Cs(Meet and Cheer) to talk and cheer about the actor. They name the cons after the show, not the actors. So, major part should be about the show.
And,I have more questions for the writers than actors. In their absence I don’t find any great reason to attend.
Also, J and J, many a times they tend to forget that, there are fans other than fan girls and slash fans. They are behaving as if they are puppets under hands of those fan girls. They gotta give equal importance to every one. They give the interviews(I have read very few) as if they are meant only for fan girls. (On the lighter note, they at least mention about the slash fans on the show. They also get some importance from Cast and Crew). After looking at the latest con’s pics I felt like I am being alienated from the fandom, that neither writers nor the actors never keep true genuine emotional family drama fans like me in their minds before writing scripts or giving interviews or whatever.

I am not saying that, fan girls shouldn’t enjoy, but if at all the Cons are more for Fan girl, better name the Cons in a different way like Supernatural Cast Conventions. I really don’t care what how the official relations between the actors and crew of the show are. It don’t, if J and J are like brothers in their real life too, but I want some sort of recognition.

And I am starting to think, it would have been better, had they hired not-so-good looking actors as Sam and Dean.

    @Mickey 1.0

That post wasn’t about you or Tessa. It was Restless who in her earlier post mentioned at least three times, that I am Winchester fan and hate every other character on the show.

  • KS

One more correction to my earlier post.

A fan girl also can be a true genuine emotional family drama fan. I am not saying fan girls are only fans of actors but, most of them are more of actor fans.

  • Mickey 1.0

It was Restless who in her earlier post mentioned at least three times, that I am Winchester fan and hate every other character on the show.

Ah, okay. But look, that still doesn’t imply anything about slash fanfiction. She only mentioned it once, and all she said was this:

Plus there’s other actors/characters getting attention at these cons, sidelining the Winchesters, hehe.

You have indicated in the past you don’t like it when secondary characters take screentime away from Sam and Dean.

If I point out at the things I don’t like and why, you say I am hateful and I better stop watching the show or posting.

In all honesty (and this is just meant to help you understand other people’s reaction and not to be mean in any way) you’re doing more than pointing out the things you don’t like. Your negativity is going to extremes. It’s not just that you don’t like certain things. It’s that you hate everything.

Say for example you’re sitting at a table enjoying apple pie with other people who like apple pie too and discussing how the apple crops are doing in the ratings. Then I come along and sit at the table and say nothing but things like “I can’t stand apple pies anymore” “apple pies will never be good again” “apples have worms in them” “I hate castiel apples” “that barrel was bad, there were too many felicia apples in it” “I even dislike jensen and jared apples” “apple festivals suck.”

Pretty soon, you would grow tired of my impeding your enjoyment of apple pie and apple crops discussion, and you would begin to ask me why I still eat apple pie if I hate it so much, and suggest all of us might be happier if I stopped eating apple pie.

You of course have the right to express your own opinions. But if you keep showering relentlessly negative opinions on other people, then they have the right to let you know they’re tired of hearing them.

  • KS

    @Mickey 1.0

I have already said this many a times, but, my posts are looking extreme only because of my limited vocabulary of English. Had I known better English, I would have expressed my self more clearly. Trust me, even I understand, my posts are speaking more louder than I really want to. But, I can’t help it. I don’t understand how to tone it down. I wish all of you knew my mother tongue, only then I would have expressed myself properly.

For instance, I don’t hate J and J as much as I have posted. I mean…um…I don’t like them… I am not getting how to frame a proper sentence to exactly explain you. Probably my English would improve after years. So, you can always consider my posts to be less louder, than the content.

  • KA

small question but did’nt avengers released already.

  • ashley

Try going to a TVD convention now they be fangirling.lol
Ok majority of the people who goes to the cons are women, but they do have men there. You have people ask from variety of questions from the show to simple as what inspired you to be a actor.

It’s ok to have fun and be silly at cons, cause I know paying that much I want to have a fun time. I meet some great people at the cons in J and J was very RESPECTFUL.

That’s one thing you cant put SPN fans in one boat because this fandom is world wide. It’s so many aspects to this fandom you really have to go everywhere cause not everybody want one thing. I have seen my die hard SPN fan boys from youtube and they go to cons. Then you have people like me with Kids and a husband and mostly in it for the show. You do have some people that like the eye candy sure, but also want’s the show to have a plot a purpose.

In now you do have your hardcore slash fans that loves to be loud, but not all of them pushing for slash on the show. Some do get carried away and can stand out more in the fandom as aggressive.

From my experience I stay away from some SPN rabid sites cause they tend to suck the fun out of the show are make me negative.

I can understand your problem with the writers are the show direction for the future cause I have concerns to. Just that cons is not a big deal SPN have bigger fish to fry.

  • Moe

KA, Avengers is only over seas right now. Here in the states, it comes out this Friday. Hence why the genre show fans are a little worried about their faves ratings.

  • KS

    “your hardcore slash fans”

Comeon! What the hell is going on? I AM NO WAY RELATED TO THEM.

Lets forget this topic right away. Get me the tickets I am attending next fan convention. Please.

  • Ashley

No not you, I’m just telling you all types of fans and this fandom.lol

But slash is not only in the SPN fandom, it’s been around forever most likely on every show and movie.

If you attend a con I would suggest you bring a friend, because I was nervous going to my first I went by myself. lol

  • Julia

I believe the term slash originated in the Star Trek fandom waaaaaaaay back before the internet, when fan fic was written and published in fanzines that were circulated among only the truly devoted.

  • Melanie

    Kirk/Spock — the shot heard around the fandom . . . . .
