Nice! I’m enjoying both of them so far.

  • Steven Leitner

I wish we would hear a decision about Curb your Enthusiasm soon.

  • DW

good to hear. both are good shows.

  • John A

Yeah why no news on Curb? Must be bad sign.

  • The Big Toe

@John A: At the Summer TCA, Michael Lombardo said that if Larry wants to come back, they will be happy to have a ninth season.

  • DaisiesDeathKnell

Steven, Curb is entirely down to whether or not Larry David feels he has enough ideas for another season, that’s the hold-up and why the wait between seasons is so long. Season 5 was the first to work as a “final season” or sorts and it’s continued on that way ever since.

  • Oliver

Remember that this is subject to change if horses die during production.

“Yeah why no news on Curb? Must be bad sign.”

The announcement that these two shows were renewed for season two is unrelated to any other show’s prospects on HBO.

Like clockwork, they renew their rookie shows for a season 2 after a couple episodes of season one have aired almost without exception, it’s their standard operating procedure.

The surprise would have been if they had *not* renewed them about now.

  • Caringtype1(Save Harry!)

I loved the veep pilot, saw it on UTube, since i don’t have HBO, hopefully season 2 of Veep will coincide with curb next season, cuz Ill defiantly pay for HBO to see that.

  • Patrick

That’s so weird, I was just thinking “wow I bet if I go on TBTN.com there will be a renewal for Veep up. And whadaya know? It’s there lol

  • John A

Still its taking a long time fol LD and HBO to make a proper decision. Its what almost a year since season 8 of curb aired.

  • Spencer

They have only had 2 or 3 episodes
How can they renew it so soon
    Girls sucks
And Veep Gets mOre total viewers in millions
    I miss luck
Too bad they murdered all those horses so tgey cancelled
    HORSE Murderers
    Jk!

  • Joe

Girls is an embarrassment to a once-great network.

  • Rodrigo

Both shows are great – awesome news even though it was expected. :)

  • SarahL

I think that HBO’s decision to renew Girls is an investment in its future. The HBO executives must know that the show is crap and it has been harshly reviewed by media critics. Yet when it is all said and done, they don’t want to tick off Judd Apatow who is a big deal in Hollywood. They want him to bring his future projects to HBO so they showed him that they won’t quickly give up on his first projects.

  • Oliver

The HBO executives must know that the show is crap and it has been harshly reviewed by media critics.

Girls has received glowing reviews by critics. It has a score of 87 on Metacritic.

  • Anthony

SarahL, what are you talking about Girls have been receiving critical acclaim.

  • J

    We need Curb back…cmon LD!!

  • SarahL

It must the critics that I have been reading then. They have not been flattering. Regardless, the show was renewed so all involved should be happy.

  • karin

HBO’s renewals are bad aka Luck…..
    Showtime is now better by far;;;
Loved SFU,the Wire but now what a mess
