THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY” REMAINS THE ONLY NETWORK EVENING NEWS BROADCAST TO POST YEAR-TO-YEAR RATINGS GAINS, UP +3% IN BOTH HOUSEHOLDS AND VIEWERS AND +8% IN ADULTS 25-54

SEASON-TO-DATE, THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY” CONTINUES TO BE THE ONLY NETWORK EVENING NEWS BROADCAST TO POST GAINS, UP +5% IN BOTH HOUSEHOLDS AND VIEWERS

 

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY closed the viewer deficit with ABC by more than 1 million viewers (from -2.55m to -1.54m) for the week of April 23, compared to the same week last year.

 

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY remains the only network evening news broadcast to post year-to-year ratings gains for the week among households (3.9/08 from 3.8/08, +3%), viewers (5.77m from 5.59m, +3%) and adults 25-54 (1.4/05 from 1.3/05, +8%), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.

 

Season-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY continues to be the only network evening news broadcast to post gains in both households (4.2/08 from 4.0/08, +5%) and viewers (6.28m from 6.00m, +5%) and is the only broadcast to maintain its adult 25-54 rating (1.5/06) compared to last year.
