    HFO has been off air for weeks. Lol at the naysayers when it was still better than all the other ten pm shows on ANY channel in the last seven days. So lets all laugh. Ha ha yeah it sucks (it just sucks less than Revenge, PP, Castle, The Mentalist blah blah).

    I just can’t wait for Steve McGarrett to be back.

    Castle adjusting down was a forgone. It still beat Smash handily – thank all that is holy!

    I bet the CW will renew Hart of Dixie. It airs after the weakest show of the network, against CBS’s comedy block and The Voice, not counting with DWTS, and still manages 0.6 and is the third or fourth (against Nikita on Friday) highest viewed show of the network. I know that TSC has been steady the whole season, but it had the best spot of the schedule. Creatively, the show is crap and only gets 1.1 million viewers and just 0.5 demo. :D
    Just, get the facts straight and we’ll see what happens in the upfronts.

    @The End

    Yes i agree. Despite the ratings in the US, GG has advantage globally.

    - It airs in many countries and is liked by millions
    - Plus it has good iTunes sales. (even right now, its #2)
    - Plus plus, by the time it ends, it will have 120++ episodes, which is perfect for syndication and networks will buy it to air reruns.

    GG is definitely safe!

    @Bee
    I agree with you about Smash. When it’s good, it’s really good. There’s a lot to “wade through” the rest of the time. I’m sticking with it, but parts are cringe worthy. To me, it’s just some of the Uma stuff (although I guess that’s supposed to induce cringing) and all the cheating. Some episodes breeze by somewhat happily, and others are hard to watch. We’ll see what season 2 brings.

    Castle will be canceled. Very poor showing for last 3 seasons. Stick a fork in it. It is done.

    “Castle will be canceled. Very poor showing for last 3 seasons. Stick a fork in it. It is done.”

    Not even close. ;)

    Gossip Girl was beyond amazing last night. I didnt see any of that coming. I think the ratings will go up for the last 2 episodes this season and I think Gossip Girl will be renewed for a full season, but I think it will be the final season. Hoping for 90210 to go up tonight, only 2 CW shows that I watch.

  • The End

    @Aakygt

    Oh okay, I’ll take your word on it. Haven’t the slightest clue about the show at all beyond the ratings. Did pick up Nikita on Blu Ray, and saw the first Secret Circle episode, just to see what the fuss was about on here if anything.

    Just, when you look outside of Nielsen, Gossip Girl looks like a huge show. I do randomly look up some shows facebooks sometimes lol. Strange I know.

    @TheEnd – Facebook likes are not an accurate way to measure anything. You would do better by looking at how many unique people post on the GG site. For all we know the majority of these FB likes came during season 1 and those people are no longer watching it. In all honesty, I have a bunch of stuff liked on FB. That doesn’t mean I still like the show. It simply means I’m too lazy to go back and unlike them.

  • Dahne

    The problem with all the “holding steady so it will be renewed” arguments is that the CW cannot afford to hold steady. It must make improvements. The simple fact is that most shows decrease in ratings every year they are on. If a show is holding steady at 0.5 or 0.6 that means next year the CW would be hoping for a 0.4 or 0.5 for the show and chances are it wouldn’t even get that. No network, not even a wannabe netlet, can stay alive with those numbers. In the end, I think the CW will add as many new shows as it possibly can within its budget. If part of the Netflix influx goes toward picking up and promoting new shows, I foresee a major shakeup in the CW line-up. I doubt they can pick up 6 but I would say 4 is the minimum with an added reality show thrown in at some point. I just don’t see a full season for Gossip Girl in the works. 13 episode final season looks more likely.

    Smash has some phenomenal music—although I am a big music collector, I seldom by soundtracks but will buy the one from Smash when it’s released!

  • AlcoholicsAnonymous

    @Traywana = Moron.

    Peeps enough with the sky is falling mess ,
    H50 has at least 2 more seasons and is safe until the summer of 2014
    Castle should get at least a 13 episode order.
    Plus
    Two and a Half Men is coming back and hopefully with Kathy Bates as a guest star for a season long story arc “_

  • Jillian

    I have no doubt Castle will be renewed for a full 22 episodes. It might be the last season because I can’t see them going on for like another 7 seasons with only a 2.3 tops in their 4th season, but they will definitely get one more season.

  • Taz Man

    Seems to me that as Smash’s ratings in the 18-49 drop Castle’s seem to rise back to more reasonable levels.

    Although it could just because they are actually moving toward’s a resolution of the Castle/Beckett relationship that is positively effecting the ratings.

    With suffecient advertising I think the Castle season finale will crack at least 2.5 in 18-49.

  • poweranimals

    Darn. I was hoping that HOD would get adjusted down.

  • Roosterhead

    I find it amusing in the comments with Castle range anywhere from “It’s ratings stink! It will be cancelled or it’s in its final season!” to “It’s a ratings powerhouse and it stomps the competition!”

    The reality of the matter is that Castle has a steady fan base and given how the ratings at 10PM appear to be down for all of the networks, Castle’s ratings have at least been stable. I would argue that Castle has held its own rather well against Smash. I’m not terribly thrilled with its consistent 2.0 to 2.2 average, but the rest of the networks at 10PM haven’t exactly been that stellar as of late either.

    Castle will get a full season pickup. The TNT syndication deal all but assures this. It will get them to 100 episodes. However, it’s not lost on me that Castle will be past the syndication threshold next season and ABC does have a tendency to cut shows after they reach that mark if their ratings tend to be weak.

  • Andrew

    Lol at someone who was rooting for a show to get adjusted down. Like who are you?
    Why do people have to be rude when it comes to programming?
    Anyway, The CW is going to make changes next season but they can’t really afford to overhaul everything.

    I honestly don’t see them axing ALL three of their new dramas.
    They are most certainly putting an end to Ringer. I liked the show but it was too serialized for a network like the CW.
    The ratings were consistently low matching Nikita’s demo on a Friday and only went up to a 0.5 in its season finale.

    I know that it seemed The Secret Circle was a likely renewal at first but now that is really questionable.
    The problem with The Secret Circle is that the show has yet to really level off. There’s no telling how low it will go.
    I like the show but it just isn’t as good as it should be. There is something lacking from the show that is much needed.
    I honestly think if it hits a 0.4 in it’s last episodes after The Vampire Diaries that they should go ahead and end it.
    Make room for another show next year as this one was not the companion they needed for The Vampire Diaries.

    Hart of Dixie is the network’s best performing new show in terms of stability. This one deserves the freshman renewal.

  • Heather

    Jenny, I just saw your sweet reply comment and I hope it gets a better time slot too. I’m not sure (being an Aussie) but it sounds like it does go up against some very popular shows on other networks during the same time and doesn’t have a great lead in show – is that right?

    Anyway, I’m so, hoping it gets renewed for another 22ep season.

  • Heather

    Oh, just encase.. I’m talking about Hart of Dixie.
