Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

@hb
they are 97% sure.
Please Bill Lawrence, don’t lie to me! I hope Bill and Courtney can find a way for a 4th season
Where they are lower is in the demo.
I think the charm of New Girl is wearing off. I loved the pilot but I found myself growing more and more bored with each episode that aired.
Wow at Last Man Standing….
@Sarah Most people I know share the exact opposite of your opinion.
A 2.1 is really not that bad considering Glee was only a 2.3.
That was a series low for GLEE last night too correct?
How the mighty have fallen. Here is a comparison of the “first week of May” episodes Glee has aired over the past three seasons:
S1, Ep. 17 (5/4/10): 11.62 million viewers, 4.9 in 18-49 demo
S2, Ep. 19 (5/3/11): 8.85 million viewers, 3.7 in 18-49 demo
S3, Ep. 18 (5/1/12): 5.95 million viewers, 2.4 in the 18-49 demo
Unless last night’s episode is adjusted upward, it will become the first episode of the show to go below 6 million.
Cougar Town is really suffering this season, int eh ratings department.
@Dennis
I don’t think you should laughed at Cougar Town’s low ratings…Bill Lawrence tweeted he was 9.7% sure about the renewal now..and most of the Happy Endings crew haven’t tweeted for a few days soo something is deff up….IMO
“face it…single-cams will never work unless it’s family-oriented!”
The Office?
There were many many people willing to give New Girl a chance but the show did not deliver. Has nothing to do with whether there is a laugh track or not.
Amazing really how far shows like GLEE, NEW GIRL, THE VOICE, etc…have fallen since the fall.
The CW is censoring LA Complex? LOL.
It’s a 2.4 for Glee according to FOX.
So…. the NCISLA fans didn’t watch the H50 crossover but the H50 fans did watch part2 of the NCISLA crossover. I guess CBS’s plan worked to get NCISLA numbers up again. The question is will the H50 fans come back next week?
@Bunny There is no way Cougar Town gets renewed and Happy Endings doesn’t. That would make absolutely no sense. The HE crew has likely been “quiet” on Twitter because the show is off the air for the summer while Cougar Town is still airing.
@Bunny
they are 97% sure.
it was asked that ont he scale of 0-10 how sure are they that ct will renew.
@Max
The Voice didn’t start in fall, it started in January (and Tuesday shows didn’t start until April 3, 2012)
REALLY hoping Glee gets the boost with the end of the season coming up. It should go up a little bit.
Bravo for CBS! NCIS and the 2 crossover episodes of H50 and NCIS: LA did well.
