NEW YORK, May 3, 2012 -- VH1 and Queen Latifah's Flavor Unit Entertainment are bringing sexy back to summer with the Memorial Day second season premiere of the hit scripted series "Single Ladies." After averaging 3 million total viewers during premiere plus first encore each Monday night, VH1's first hour-long scripted series returns with fan favorites LisaRaye McCoy (Keisha) and Charity Shea (April), along with the series debut of actress Denise Vasi (Raquel) as a new co-lead. "Single Ladies" season 2 will premiere May 28 at 9PM ET/PT on VH1.

Season 2 of VH1's "Single Ladies" turns up the heat and brings a whole new dose of sex, love and betrayal for Keisha, April and Raquel. Still reeling from Malcolm's run-in with the FBI, Keisha (LisaRaye McCoy) is forced to decide just how loyal she is to her flame, especially since the facts aren't lining up in Malcolm's favor. With the surprise return of the man who broke her heart, Keisha finds herself reminiscing on the past and wondering if she ended things too quickly. April (Charity Shea) finds herself entering the dating game after being off the market since she was 18 years old. But she is discovering the game isn't quite what she remembers. Meanwhile, newcomer Raquel (Denise Vasi) has spent her entire life living up to her parents' expectations. A long-time childhood friend of Keisha's, Raquel has found herself in the role of the "good girl" for years. With encouragement from Keisha and April, Raquel finds herself at a crossroads: should she finally take a stand in her life and make her own choices or does her mother really know best? This season the women of "Single Ladies" have several new romantic storylines including one with Latin heartthrob William Levy, whose character "Antonio" reconnects with his former flame Raquel, while "One Life to Live" alum Terrell Tilford's character "Sean" returns to shake up Keisha's love life.

The cast includes: LisaRaye McCoy, Charity Shea, Denise Vasi, DB Woodside, Travis Winfrey and Terrell Tilford. Season 2 guest appearances include: Anthony Williams, Big Boi, Cassandra Freeman, Chilli, Eve, Flex Alexander, Harold "House" Moore, La La Anthony, Lauren London, Michelle Van Der Water, Omar Gooding, Paula Patton, Pilar Sanders, Rick Fox, Ricky Whittle, Romeo, Tank, T.I., Tony Rock, William Levy and others. Executive producer Queen Latifah will also appear in the series.

"Single Ladies" is a romantic comedy series about Keisha, Raquel and April - best friends with different philosophies on love, sex and relationships, proving not all women have the same desires. Set in the world of Atlanta fashion, music and celebrity, "Single Ladies" asks the question: What do women really want?

@ Melanie….me too!, i really enjoyed season 1….but how will the show handle the loss of Stacy Dash?? :(

  • Sabrina

The show is gonna suck @$$ with Stacy gone!!!!!!!!! Lisa should’ve gone!!!

  • Debbie Charles

VH1—Please do not take Stacy Dash off the show… replace anyone but her… she should style, class, beauty and she was on of the better actresses of the show. If you have already let her go, please do whatever to get her back. The show will not be the same, will not make it without her.

OMG! This premiere was really good! I thought it was very humorous and hot! I don’t understand why people got so hooked on Stacey Dash, even though I was really upset when I found out in July 2011. But Denise Vasi ( Raquel)did a great job last night on the premiere. I thought I wasn’t going to like her but now I think it was a great decision of casting her. I will have to admit that the “pouring the alcohol on Val’s dress” was a little overboard but that’s what this show is about. Hey, to me it’s better than Basketball Wives and their evil selves. This show is realistic fiction. Which means it goes overboard but it can happen. I cannot wait to see William Levy next episode, I know it is going to be funny. So people who did not like it just give it a chance, it was only the first episode.

The stunning beauty of the newest vixen, Denise Vasi is augmented by the show’s wardrobe designed by “Project Runway” alum Anthony Williams. The impeccable ballroom dance sequences in the opening scenes are a precursor to the emergence of Latin heart throb William Levy as Vasi’s love interest in the upcoming episode. The show’s major eye candy factor and hot fashion embellish the show’s self agrandizing livin large reputation with a sense of vibe & swagger beyond the ditz not glitz and clamor not glamour of “Sex in the City”. It’s character’s transport us into a light hearted yet keeping it real satire of the life experiences, aspirations and fantasies of single urban professionals and moguls. We are a generation shaped by cross culturally iconic shows like the Arsenio Hall show, In living Color and music television. Like “comfort food”, We seek the “comfort viewing” entertainment in the pure fantasy of scripted comedy and romance vehicles that we grew familiar with. The fallacy of reality TV it that it provides no escape from a parody of a satire of so called real events that often occurs when overt self awareness inevitably leads to subjects playing to the camera. In a scripted series like “Single Ladies” the lost art of writing becomes paramount to entertaining the viewer. I highly appreciate the writing brilliance of this show that is evident in some of my favorite lines in the first episode. “Shouldn’t sleeping beauty be awakened by a kiss instead of her fiance plowing …”. “Your like a kid in a single ladies candy store”. “I popped your dating cherry”

Love Stacey! Wish she will come back.
Raquel part was hard to believe she caught her man having sex WITH ANOTHER WOMAN And was crying outside the hotel door. Stacey would of went off on his Ass right there.
