We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source, if you don't see your show it wasn't in that top 100 list.
NBA Basketball dominated cable TV last night, topping the night with a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating. A new Duck Dynasty came in second place among original cable shows with a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating.
The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search - that's probably the easiest way to find last night's episode of South Beach Tow.

It seems like Hot in Cleveland/Happily Divorced are up and down week-to-week. Last week they rose back up to “normal” numbers, and now are back down again.
For what might be the first time since the lockout as well, an NHL game beat an NBA game head-to-head in the ratings. The 1.85 millon Caps/Rangers viewers topped the 1.81 million viewers who tuned into the Jazz vs. Spurs playoffs matchup on TNT. (courtesy of SBNation)
– in spite of all the NHL **semi-final** game’s advantages and the NBA **first-round** game’s disadvantages the NHL game just barely won…. that’s does not look good boys *wags the finger*
—————————————————————————-
“what they could not say (but I will) …. an NHL ***Semi-Final*** game beat an NBA ***First-Round*** game for the first time since the lockout …. a first-round NBA game that was a blow-out featuring two teams with little national clout vs two of the biggest hockey markets in the US in a triple overtime game…… now see how that puts things in real perspective?”
—————————————————————————-
Whoo Hoo Matty – the NHL is trending now ….. breaking into the 1.8mil region …. and ‘gasp’ beating a NBA first round game (yeah Peter that’s right – its NHL ***semi-final*** vs NBA ***first round*** NOT Quarter Finals lol!)
I predict that the NHL will break 2mill and the finals ***MAY*** beat the NBA first round numbers – you know in the region of 4-6mil (but if the NHL does not beat the 5.7 rating for Bruins game 7 win last year it will be an abject failure of hockey and a smash in the face of the nervous fans – I think I’m gonna be very amused this year
. Inspite of national coverage a 5.7 ratings for hockey IS NOT LIKELY TO HAPPEN this year, even if the Rangers are in the playoffs – you heard it here first – so sorry guys
– c’mon prove me wrong if you can hockey LoL!
Meanwhile back on the farm ….
NBA PLAYOFFS- ROUND 1 L TNT 09:44 PM 3.137 1.5

NHL SEMI FINALS L NBCSN 07:30 PM 1.853 0.9

Afterall that humdinger of a semifinal deserves some reward too – right Matty? What better achievement than to edge past a first-round NBA game LOL!!!
Nadine Harris wrote: “Surprising how little support the NBA gets, viewer-wise…”
When the site last posted 18-49 ratings for blacks, I made a quick mental calculation that resulted in the number of whites watching a regular-season NBA game being about the same as blacks. Somehow the support was not there among 18-49 whites, at least not in the proportion I would have expected.
Annnnddddd Torrid once again conveniently avoids the 80% that NBCSN is available to.
Maybe I should bring up the large margin that the NHL destroys the NBA in attendance wise, or the fact that their annual revenue when TV contracts are removed is nearly equal.
Nah, he’ll just ignore all that as usual.
ABDC — such a great Episode! Really, it’s not on the list, or did MTV not submit the numbers in time? I’m nervous. Love the show!
America’s Best Dance Crew 1.012.000 , 570.000 adults 18-49
Surprised that “Locked Up Abroad” is not on the list. Great show.
For someone that clearly doesn’t watch the sport, this Torrid guy is always typing out essays and crying about the NHL. It’s really not that serious, take a break kid.
What about this? On Tuesday, the Flyers, Phillies and 76ers all played at the same time. In PHILADELPHIA the Flyers had 607,000 viewers. The Phillies and 76ers combined only had 345,000 viewers. The Flyers had double the amount of viewers as the 76ers and Phillies COMBINED. Hockey is a local sport. It’s always been that way and will continue that way.
Like I said, it’s really not that serious. If you ever leave your home, you’ll realize there are more important things to worry about…
Lol the NBA is so over hyped its not even funny,
NBCSN is Availavble in much less areas than TNT so that’s not even fair comparison and the NHL still beat the NBA lololol, which is (the NBA) the mos overhyped sport out there thanks to ESPN.
How about the attendance numbers NHL vs. NBA? Ya that’s what I thought NHL wins
The TV Revenues between the league: Approaching identical.
Take a look in the mirror torrid.
TV revenues aren’t even close to identical.
Which makes it even more funny that the NHL and NBA revenue’s nearly mirror each other when TV revenue is taken out of the equation.
And by that I mean their contracts. The NHL makes $200M annually from their contract. The NBA makes $930M.
And when you take those away they’re only $300M apart in revenue, which is staggering considering the NHL is growing much more quickly in terms of revenue increases.
the jazz/spurs game actually out rated the nhl game head to head. you guys do realize that, right? when they were both on more people were watching tnt. and then the basketball game ended and the nhl game continued for hours. what was the number for the regulation portion of the nhl game? it’s pretty sad that they need games to go on for hours on end featuring the #1 market just to slightly edge a massive blowout featuring 2 tiny markets. but congrats anyway, fellas.
Slappy:
*On a channel available to 80% of the audience.
But that seems to be a factor that NBA fans love to avoid.
Ok, it’s available to only 80% of the population, but even if we were to calculate viewers in those 80% households only, the NBA would still win, so what is your point? Let us just agree that we love different sports. NBA has more viewers, NHL has their own viewers, the reasons are numerous. It’s not as easy to build a hockey arena, as it is to put up a hoop, the same applies to soccer only needing a seemingly spherical object; hence it’s global popularity. People love different things, let us be grown up about this, PLEASE.
Not a good sign for the NBA that the Spurs are doing good this year. Th NBA needs to find a way to keep that team from winning in the further.
That Caps/Rangers series for the NHL might get up to 2.5 million if it gets a game 7.
really classy user name there, guy. are you 12 years old or so?
also……doing well*
you are all class, mate.
