It should be: “if you’re not working at Lockheed, you’re working too hard”.

It is silly nonsense and extremely ignorant saying Nixon used the Slogan “Forward Together”. The same President who was involved in the Chile Coup d’etat and bringing forward those Chicago Boy economic policies under a dictator that ring true here today. Although, I’m sure there is a good argument to be made that a dictator does lead by totalitarianism which is the evil behind Communism, Fascism and Corporatism only that argument may backfire on the distractors. It is wildly funny though.
=====================================
Oh, so Nixon too had a slogan with the communist word Forward in it? Hahaha. I didn’t know that. Like I said, I hope nobody is planning on using the word ‘liberty’ (or prosperity) for that matter. Let’s scratch them off the list of available words for slogan building.
The swastika has been used for centuries by people other than Germans. I don’t expect those cultures to stop using it.
The allegations being made about the slogan itself represent a non sequitur and is invalid as well as unsound. I guarantee you that the people who came up with it were aware of its invalidity, but decide to present it as a case of Marxism and communism anyway, anticipating correctly that the marauding zombies that make up their fan base would have no idea what a logical fallacy is. I haven’t seen the case being made on TV yet, and I think it is a result of a lack of bravery on the part of the educated conservative pundits who may be unwilling to attach their names to such a flimsy argument.
I submit that hindu+swastika is different from skinhead+swastika.

A switch to a discussion of symbology rather than English words. SMH. Yes. Using the word “Forward” in a campaign slogan like Scott Walker is doing, and Nixon did before him, is similar to using the swastika today. Maybe I was wrong about your Lockheed gig. You need to be on that couch beside Doocy and Gretchen. Hahaha.

Although I think the “forward” slogan controvery is a stupid distraction,, symbols and words used in slogans in politics or social movements can be interpreted quite differently,,if shown a clinched fist you might think “black power”,,faith might think “feminism” and I might think “JDL”…
Gabe,
Yes, it looks like Nixon was a closet Commie (sarcasim intended) even though he was radical on economic policies that took place under the dictator his administration help to put in power in Chile, only tragically those policies have come back to haunt us. I guess it can be called the boomerang effect but I digress.
No one really seems to talk about those economic policies coming to our front door but instead distract by willfully ignorant topics like Obama is bringing forward Communism. It’s pure foolishness!
I love the new campaign slogan. Forward!!! Only extreme right wing nutties would hate a word like forward. They seem to like the word Rewind better.
Rewind back on women’s rights.
Rewind back on minority rights.
Rewind back on the rights of the working men and women.
Rewind back to Bush failed policies.
Forward baby!!! In the second term stop being moderate and shove the democratic agenda down their throats. It’s the only way they will learn that our country will remain free and continue to improve.

I’ve seen some of the same misinformation on liberal websites. Thinkprogress usually has some very informative articles, but the majority of their headlines and implicit conclusions are obvious logical fallacies. I find it strange that they never seem to catch on like the flag pin, death panels, and now, campaign slogan controversies. They need to step their game up, maybe pay a visit to the mothership of all sensationalism, Glenn Beck’s Blaze. The Blaze never seems to lack videos of black people fighting or Michelle Obama engaging in some un-American deed. It appears that those videos usually generate the most hits and comments. I haven’t visited it today, but I am willing to bet that there is a video of black people fighting somewhere. Hahaha.
John Edwards is being attacked by a right wing conspiracy, he is clearly innocent and did nothing wrong.
Using Limbaugh Nugent Hannity style logic.
Conservative French President about to get the big boot!!!
He rallied against equal rights for citizens and cut popular social programs for the people while protecting the wealthy.
Sound familiar???
Forward with 4 more years of continued progress as President Obama has demonstrated with 24 months of job growth, eliminate Bush tax cuts, clean up our environment, tough foreign policy, Strengthen the middle class!!

I’d have to see an example because I always love a good logical fallacy.

I don’t doubt it. If you really want to see them choke on their own vomit just say the words pay it forward. That will cause a few good chuckles;-0
No Gabe it’s worst. Theblaze has a big picture of Jar Jar Binks himself…..

I will keep you posted.
According to this the Avengers’ made $641,800,000 worldwide. This is the source used on HD when settling movie questions. If their right Avengers’ beat Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part 2 by $31,110,573 for an opening record.
It made more than twice as much worldwide than domestically.
Domestic – $200,300,000
Foreign – $441,500,000
The Hunger Games has $617,727,000 worldwide. I would bet the Avengers’ is gonna make more in it’s run.
@Mark
You made some good points. I saw a poll on SP with Bret Baier that said the majority of people voting for Willard are doing so in more of against Nobama than for Willard. As has been said on here more than once the folks (as a whole, I’m guessing some of the base on both sides are fired up) aren’t fired up this time around. At least not yet. Lots of time for something to happen to get folks fired up. If there’s a low voter turnout then a 3rd party might have an affect in a swing state or two. Bush JR won Fla by a handful of votes, thus the election. Wasn’t Ralph Nader on the ballot? I’m guessing he took more Gore votes than Bush votes. I hope the country doesn’t have a repeat of the Bush vs Gore deal.
Jeff – Sorry for long post!! But didn’t want you folks to miss any nasty details Fox news editited.
——————————
What did Fox edit? They bleeped the cuss words…so what? Then Laura said “you decide if he’s a pinhead or patriot”? Did MSNBC or CNN run the clip without “editing” it?
Forward baby!!! In the second term stop being moderate and shove the democratic agenda down their throats. It’s the only way they will learn that our country will remain free and continue to improve.
They tried that with HC reform. How did that work out for them?
I hope Nobama takes your advice.

Hiya Faith3. Paul Ryan tries to talk about the economic policies coming to our front door. Now some don’t like his plan & thats fine. At least he has one to talk about. If there’s only one plan in writing on the table, that’s IMO better than no plan. If the dems or Nobama has more than words for a plan please let me know. Tearing the Ryan budget down is not a plan IMO. It might get them some votes, but it doesn’t solve the problem.
