    Well, if CW renews Secret Circle at the very most it needs a new day. Vampire Diaries as a lead in does nothing and to be honest CW should put a higher rated show in that timeslot, possibly Supernatural.

    @Pete:

    Completely agree. All TSC haters think, just because RECENTLY, it’s been getting 0.5′s, it’s going to be cancelled. Why on earth would The CW look at RECENT ratings and not the entire season’s. That’s how 90210 got renewed considering the show got constant 0.7′s and 0.8′s, but RECENTLY it’s been getting 0.6′s, but was still renewed. I said in the other topic, TSC is not like Ringer and Nikita’s ratings which have constantly been getting 0.4′s and 0.5′s.

  • Raykov

    Scandal vs GCB. round 5. Fight… :D

  • FH14

    Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if The CW will renew TSC at this point. It has the best lead-in on the channel and it’s still pulling numbers that would put it on the bubble almost anywhere else as well. And if they put it in Nikita’s timeslot like a lot of people seem to think I bet it will do substantially worse than Nikita. (Not a case for or against Nikita. Just saying that If TSC can’t pull good numbers after TVD, it certainly isn’t going to pull good numbers on a Friday).

  • Adam

    Scandal always gets adjusted down but it was adjusted down even lower this week. This show just can’t seem to make it and it certainly has been promoted more than the other dramas who get better ratings without the benefit of the Greys Anatomy lead in.

    @Dillan

    Pretty sure CW will look at either the numbers for the first 10-12 episodes, or the Season average before deciding renewal. Secret Circle should be safe there.

  • Bunny

    Anyone know why the U.k is airing the un-aired ep of Happy Endings before the US? Is this bad news?

  • Dillan

    @FH14:

    Lead in’s mean nothing. Just because TVD comes on before, doesn’t mean people are going to keep the same channel on. TVD fans watch the show at 8pm, and that’s it.

    I don’t understand why people constantly keep on using lead in’s as excuses. Yeah, they’re relevent for like the first couple of episodes of the season, but not when we’re in May when all the new shows have found their audience already.

  • The End

    @Bunny

    There likely isn’t a clause in the contract that states the American network has to air the episode first with this show before other countries.

  • o

    Nikita did a lot better airing after The Vampire Diaries than The Secret Circle has been doing.

  • Angie

    What the hell. You say the mentalist down yet got it up 2.5. What is it then?

  • SmG

    Good for TVD !

  • MoHasanie

    Yay, Scandal adjusted down to a 1.9! Its retention is now below 60%.I hope it keeps falling since I’m sick of Shonda shows…

    TBBT is so strong, but it does help that it competes against the lower half hour of Idol. I think it might just inch past MF for the top comedy this year.

  • FH14

    @Dillan

    Actually recent ratings matter more than anything. Shows (especially serialized shows) tend not to gain audience as time goes on, they tend to lose them (which is why ratings are much lower across the board in the spring than in the fall). So the most recent ratings do tend to matter than the older ones, especially if they show a downward trend like TSC’s.

  • John A

    I really think cw should not air a show behind TVD all season. Its just a waste when u see SC flop. Same with Nikita last year.

  • Pete

    @ Dillan

    Nice to see someone else “get” the fact that Vampre Diaries fans watch for that show and that show alone, no show that comes on after will ever hold anywhere near its audience.

  • John A

    HOD should have been after TVD since January.

  • Sid

    THE SECRET CIRCLE,

    HA HA! :D

  • Dillan

    @FH14:

    I’m not saying they’re not important, of course they are. But TSC has had 3 0.5′s, everything else has been above. That is enough for The CW to renew it.

  • Max

    I still think SCANDAL has the edge over REVENGE in terms of which show is more of a success. At least SCANDAL is crazy steady. REVENGE started out so strong and has lost a substantial audience.
