You all need to realize a lot of these new shows that do close to what an old show does has an advantage due to cost. Ratings aren’t the only factor’s.

AND, for any TSC fan, a lot of 0.7 on the fall is not warranty if the show declines so fast on the spring. A LOT of shows are strong from September to December, but crash and burn on January. The CW may consider HoD before TSC, anytime…

  • Petar

CBS must try next week or last week rules at 8 TBBT at 8:30 and PoI in 9! Let’s see than TBBT lead-in even in summer what result will give?

  • MoHasanie

Great! But I hope ABC doesn’t pick it up just to make Shonda happy. They’re definitely gonna pick up Scandal, even though its already in the 1’s even with the networks best 9pm lead in.

  • Brandy

I was hoping SC would keep ints 0.6. I want it renewed along with GG, HoD.

  • Steve

@Max No way Scandal has any edge. It peaked at 2.1. Revenge peaked at 3.0. Scandal routinely gets adjusted down. Revenge stays the same most weeks. Scandal is steady… at getting borderline cancel-able ratings. Especially this week. In the fall Revenge was in the 2.4-2.7 neighborhood. Scandal has yet to break 2.1 and doesn’t look like it will, even with the constant promo’s on ABC. No edge at all.

  • Mi

Was The Mentalist adjusted up or down? Title says down, table says up.. which one is right?

  • Pete

TSC never crashed and burned in January from February – March it scored SIX 0.7s in a row so again didn’t decline until its most recent hiatus in April.

  • Valerie

Yeah, Scandal is steady, so is LA Complex :D

  • Lexie

@Steve Scandal only did borderine cancel-able ratings when it was up against repeats of the Mentalist now that it is up against origianl Mentalist episodes, it’s rating 1’9. I do not aniticipate a ratings explosion. People have sampled it enough, time to say bye-bye.

  • GGMustDie

It was an example. TSC could have been the highest rated show on the CW, still HoD and GG beat it on Women and adults, which mean renewals. TSC is dead now, Deadline has said so.

  • Michael

Hart Of Dixie fans VS. Secret Circle fans: ROUND 2!

  • BJH

The Secret Circle has a chance for renewal because its season average is 0.8/2 and 1.86 mil. That’s higher than GG, 90210, Nikita, and HoD. Yeah, it may have taken a typical spring hit (which even shows like Modern Family are subjected to), but I don’t think it’s enough to warrant cancellation. I have watched the show from the beginning and believe it’s an 8pm program.

How does CW expect any show to succeed up against the Grey’s/Office duo? It’s a very competitive time slot and one that CW will most likely never win. I think it’s become the new “CW death slot”. Other than Supernatural, no show has done even close to Vampire Diaries numbers.

CW should renew Secret Circle, move it to a new night at 8PM, and try again. If it fails in the fall, then it was a bad move. But, all networks take a chance when they bring new shows in.

  • Mike

I think CBS should move TBBT at 8:30 . That would give POI a great lead it, and this show will not waste that lead in, just see how he gainned 5 million viewers from ROE.
And The Mentalist has ended being a perfect match for POI. Same demo and almost same viewers. No sure if CBS will want to move it now. If POI improves with a better lead in, The Mentalist will improve too.

  • Petar

Scandal really waste Grey’s lead-in but u agree will get second season cause is shonda shows! Revenge is much better show but no big names in the background always hurt on the shows!

  • Steve

@Lexie I agree. I don’t see its ratings going anywhere but down. Mark it as 2 failures by Shonda in a row. I have nothing against her but ABC’s faith in her is annoying to me. She’s at 50% success. Not the best.

  • wn

Assuming that the 2.5 for TM is accurate, it tied H50 for the highest 10 pm drama of the week. As for POI, didn’t it seem that there was a totally illogical correlation between its ratings and Rob? I remember people talking about it at the time.

Just because Deadline says something doesn’t mean its gonna happen.
