Fringe fell to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating in the first part of its two-part season finale. That's down a tenth vs. the 1.0 adults 18-49 rating last week. At 8pm, The Finder had a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating, also down a tenth vs. the 1.1 adults 18-49 rating last Friday. Blame The Avengers?
Via @MaskedScheduler:
#FRINGE .9 rating in 18-49's with 2,851,000 viewers. #FINDER was a 1.0 with 3,960,000 viewers. Season finales next week.

By comparison, what did the Hunger Games get?
THE FINDER > FRINGE
I was right
All television shows will drop this weekend. It is a Super Weekend: The Avengers super heroes and the Super moon. Nothing will stand before the Super weekend. All Television Shows will fall.
The Avengers will compete near all box office records.
Super Moon this weekend. The largest and brightest full moon of the year and the moon will be at its closest distance to the earth. The internet is alive with all the effects of the moon from high tides, to the emotional effects on people. They are even predicting a baby boom in 9 months due to the Super Moon.
So when you take the combination of the Spring Weather, the Super Moon and the movie hit “The Avengers” the super heroes. Nothing will stand before the Super weekend. All Television Shows will fall.
Remember how people said last year that FOX would never air all 22 episodes of Fringe’s fourth season but rather would burn them off in summer or something? How good it feels to know that season five is on its way…
Avengers was released 1-2 weeks before in India. I am surprised it was released today in U.S.A. I couldn’t watch it because of exams. But, will certainly watch it after a few days.
Every one expands their business internationally(best example being movie Avengers) except these TV network executives. They doesn’t seem to know that people outside U.S.A. also watch their TV shows. They just can’t understand this golden fact, for the reason I don’t know why.
@NICK
I’m not sure of The Hunger Games exact numbers,
but The Avengers is on track for the biggest opening weekend EVER
…so Avengers > Hunger Games
@Nick
Marvel’s The Avengers $80,517,000 4,349 theaters 5/04/12
The Hunger Games $67,263,650 4,137 theaters 3/23/12
Yeah I was at The Avengers. Sorry Fringe.
Expected but I’m sad there is no news on the rest of Friday show…Maybe later.
I blame it on The Avengers
“I blame it on The Avengers ”
I blame Canada.
@Data RSH was at that more than anyone. But still that 0.9 is not worth gloating about.

Now, that’s Fan Excuse Bingo being played with gusto!
Will have to add “There was a Super Moon” to the bingo card!
avengers will not break harry potters record
@Jenny, I think Harry Potter opened at more than that.
The Finder did OK with 4 million.
@Justin121
Harry Potter currently has the biggest opening weekend with 169million,
which the Avengers is on track to beat
Thank You Bill Gorman
It is an honor and a privilege to be added to Fan Excuse Bingo.
I blame Mexico
