@Ratboy
Pretty pitiful reporting by the main stream!
Yep. They have someone in custody but no reporting on it hardly at all, a major public threat and if anyone watches todays mediia it’s like another day in the park to them, until a plane actually blows up of course.
be back in a little bit
Let’s just hope they dont pull him off the trail! He is the best thing that could happen to Romney!!
Vice President Biden’s gay-marriage gaffe is mess for White House
If Vice President Biden continues to make public appearances during this campaign, White House press secretary Jay Carney should be offered a membership in the janitors’ union.
As things stand, the spokesman does not have the supplies necessary to clean up the mess Biden made in his appearance Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Biden gave his full support to same-sex marriage — a position conspicuously at odds with the public stance of his boss, President Obama, who is widely assumed to share Biden’s views but who says that his own thinking is “evolving.”
The vice president said he is “absolutely comfortable” with same-sex marriage, committing the classic Washington gaffe of accidentally speaking the truth. This bit of straight talk made Obama’s position — neither for nor against such unions but in an evolutionary state, not unlike the Galapagos finch — all the more untenable. On Monday, Biden took off for a campaign event in Tennessee, leaving Carney on cleanup duty. But the more Carney swabbed the mess, the more it spread.
CNN’s Jessica Yellin asked whether Obama was trying to “have it both ways before an election” and whether he should “stop dancing around the issue.”
ABC’s Jake Tapper said that “it seems cynical to hide this prior to the election” and that “I don’t want to hear the same talking points 15 times in a row.”
NBC’s Chuck Todd said with a grin, “So help me out here. He opposes bans on gay marriage, but he doesn’t yet support gay marriage?”

Where are the news stories & outrage over this ?
American POW left to languish while Obama gives away Taliban prisoners
An American POW has has been held by a Taliban-affiliated terror group for almost three years. And he is never mentioned while Barack Obama releases high-level Taliban detainees from Gitmo in exchange for… their promises not to commit more acts of terrorism.
…On June 30, 2009, almost three years ago, Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl of Idaho was kidnapped by the Taliban-affiliated Haqqani network. He is the only prisoner of war currently held by the Taliban and recent video releases seem to indicate that he is being kept alive for ransom by the group.
…In December, The Daily Beast was the only outlet to report on a heroic escape attempt by the sergeant. After working for over two years to gain the trust of his captors, Bergdahl jumped out of a first-story window, running into the wilderness [and evading capture for] three days without food or water—hiding in a shallow trench he had dug with his own hands and covered with leaves.
…Even [after he was discovered], he put up a ferocious fight. The two gunmen who found him first were unable to subdue him. “He fought like a boxer,” Hanif was told. It took five more militants to overpower him. Now back in custody, he is kept shackled at night, and his jailers are taking no chances.
The administration’s calling on the release of American-held terrorist prisoners while asking for nothing in exchange, not even an American POW, is hard to accept.

I got a look at the seamier side of life with my grand jury experiences. This morning I read in the paper the head of our C. County BAR was just arrested with 100 Percocet & a handgun . When the legal system is pushing or using pills , it’s pretty sad.

USN and I talked about that alittle yesterday, it is outrages. But I doubt if it changes.
outragious ^Outrageous
“Vice President Biden’s gay-marriage gaffe is mess for White House”
I do not see it that way. Obama will not support gay-marriage before the election. Not to lose those votes, he sends out Number 2 to make a statement. Now the gay rights bubbas see this as either a sign or a hint. Kind of like the “tell Putin” thing.
I wish I could go to sleep till after November lol
Sgt Bowe Bergdahl, a 25-year-old Army sergeant from Hailey, Idaho, was taken prisoner June 30, 2009, in Afghanistan.
@USNretiredx2
This is from the BBC, so take the entire story with a grain of salt
*Israeli PM Netanyahu strikes surprise coalition deal
Netanyahu Cancels Election
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has struck a deal with the opposition Kadima party, avoiding the early general election he had sought.
The coalition will have a majority of 94 – one of the biggest in Israeli history.

I was just reading an article by Richard Cohen (Wash.Po.) He’s a flamin’ Liberal who has called Republicans the “Grand Old Cult,” & likened the GOP presidential field to a “virtual political Jonestown.”
Interestly, he finds fault with Obama. Quoting Cohen , “Obama is frighteningly weak. Last week I asked a member of the Senate if he knows of anyone who really knows Obama. He said he does not.
Washington is thick with stories about Obama’s insularity and distance. We hear how he does not listen to criticism — he sometimes just walks out of the room — and how he sticks to a tight circle of friends.
While Obama is an accomplished orator, the trouble is that when the last echoes of an Obama speech have faded, so has the audience. The masses who cheered for change went home. The politicians then took over. It takes more than a speech for them to embrace change.
He is not much loved by his own party. He may be respected — he’s clearly smart and impenetrably calm — but you hear few expressions of warmth.

Obama Ditches JFK’s Legacy
“Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country,” President John F. Kennedy famously said in his inaugural address.
In his bid for re-election, the hope-and-change president, Barack Obama, clearly has decided to ditch JFK’s country-first approach. The Obama-Biden campaign is all about what this country can do for voters. Look no further than that creepy ‘Julia.’
@Ratboy
I have a very good and honest advisor, we just spoke for about 5 minutes about what France’s and the Greece elections mean for the long term on the market and 401K plans.
Keep in mind I no longer do any large trades, nor do I have very many of them anymore, I was considering a few more but after talking to him, I’m holding off.
Right now allot of investors are coming back to American Stocks and dumping the European stocks, but what’s going to happen is once the trades take their course and the ripple effect starts hitting here again, the outlook is for lower volume trading and a downturn in the overall economic stability of the global market.
Another bad sign is China’s economy has really slowed down and they may start de-valuing their currency again. At this point nothing major, but it could be setting up a free for all within a few months.
*Oil has dropped to $96, which is another sign our economy has slowed even more.
@d.d.
Sorry … if I’d been around the thread I would have known that
That’s fine, I was mainly pointing out how most of us feel about the abandonment of our people in these situations.
*Rep. Peter King Tells Soledad O’Brien: Drone Attack And Terrorist Plot Are Linked
“Yes,” said King, “I was told by the White House [the drone attack and terrorist plot] are connected, they’re part of the same operation, and that’s why I said this operation is still ongoing. And by the way, everything that [CNN National Security Contributor] Fran Townsend said as usual, makes a tremendous amount of sense. I’m not in a position to say all of the things that Fran does because of the restrictions that I have but if you listen to Fran Townsend you’re getting a pretty good idea of what happened.”

I spoke with my guys yesterday too. I asked about the oil prices and they dont see the drop lasting on its own. What they did say is that the Obama campaign group is trying to figure out how to manipulate the ol prices just long enough to get elected but are treading lightly because one wrong move and it blows up before the election and they lose!
On the investment front, they said sone short term quick turns are a good play right now but it takes close watching. They too said do not think that the market is going to be uneffected over here by what is going on over there. They said the market (in there ongoing greed
) is taking advantage of the situation showing some strenght here abut will react in a delayed mode so they can make a little n=more money. I dont understand that stratagy completly that is why I got my guys. They told me to sit tight because no matter what happens between now and the election is minor compared to the reaction and ongoing trends based on the election outcome. They said it will go up and down for now but the election will be what tell the future for portfolios and that is when changes one way or the other will be important for portfolio growth or stability.
That makes it 52/44 based on the history of the undecided
Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
Tuesday, May 08, 2012
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows Mitt Romney earning 49% of the vote and President Obama attracting 44% support. Three percent (3%) would vote for a third party candidate, while another three percent (3%) are undecided.
Who here lives where there are gubernatorial elections today?
The uptick for Romney comes as investor confidence has fallen six points in the wake of last week’s disappointing jobs report. Looking ahead five years, just 44% of Americans believe the nation’s economy will be stronger than it is today. That’s the lowest level of long-term optimism ever measured.
