SpongeBob SquarePants and The Penguins of Madagascar Rank as Week’s Top Animated Series with Kids; The Legend of Korra Is Top Animated Series
on Cable with Total Viewers
NEW YORK–MAY 8, 2012 –Nickelodeon closed the week (4/30-12-5/6/12) as basic cable’s top total day network with kids 2-11 (2.4/832,000) and total viewers (1.5 million). The net’s win was driven by strong performances from its hit animation portfolio, SpongeBob SquarePants ranked as the week’s top animated series with kids 2-11 (5.4/1.9 million), followed by The Penguins of Madagascar (4.6/1.6 million). The Legend of Korra continues to captivate audiences on Saturday mornings, ranking as the top animated series on basic cable with total viewers (3.8 million) for the week.

But I just read on this very site that Disney Channel was #1 this week in total viewers!
WHO IS #1 FOR THE WEEK?!?!?!?!?!!?
@Ryan, Nickelodeon won this week with total viewers and kids 2-11, while Disney won This week with kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14. Disney won primetime with kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14. Confusing!
