TNT's coverage of the NBA Playoffs was the evening's top cable performer, earning the network a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. Game of Thrones was second and rose a tenth again vs. last week to earn a 2.0 rating.
Update: lots of additional shows (including GIRLS, The Big C and The Borgias via commenter Nick are below the normal table.
We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our principal source. If you don’t see an original episode of a show here, it’s because it wasn’t in the top 100.
The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search - that's probably the easiest way to find Mad Men.

@Paul
700,000 people didn’t watch girls, just a few Nielsen viewers in reality.
1 Nielsen box stands for x amount of viewers. Won’t break this down because I’ve discussed enough on here in the past.
Long Island Medium does great numbers for TLC..even in its same night encores..so happy its renewed for a season 3!..
victorious???? i can’t believe this… 2.4??
@Cal331 – What was drastically different with GOT? There may have been slight deviations but everything I remember from the book is what is happening in the show right now.
Wow. Nick Saturday morning shows are doing great. Any news on Winx Club?
GoT storyline was maybe even too dense this sunday.
Alfie Allen’s (Theon) acting is brilliant hands down! Such a complicated character.
@ca1331–I’ve never read the Fire&Ice books, nor will I until GOT is over. Same for True Blood, only I’ll never read the books at all, because I’ve sampled enough to know they aren’t all that good.
This is an exceptionally faithful adaptation, and Martin (a producer on the show) is reportedly thrilled with it. I can understand how you feel, but understand that making persnickety readers happy is not the goal of the series. I have been in your shoes with regards to other adaptations–and if this really could be a page for page adaptation, I might be on your side. But it can’t. 10 hours to adapt a huge novel. So many characters to keep track of–all played by flesh and blood actors, who have flesh and blood agents. They just can’t do it the way you want. They didn’t even adapt Harry Potter 100% faithfully. It just never happens. And you should have known that going in.
Great for NJ Housewives! The epsiode was fantastic! This season is definitely gonna be the best. I do miss the days with Danielle, but thankfully Dina returns for a few episodes! NJ and ATL are neck and neck for best “Real Housewives of….” ratings! #teamteresa ALL THE WAY! Follow her @teresa_giudice and teresagiudice.com. buy her new book on May 15!
I think the Killing is a great show despite some negative comments on this board.
Today’s TV audience wants instant satisfaction with TV drama’s. The audience today has no patience for a show that is like a real mystery where the police struggle to put together the clues to find the killer. Today’s viewers want CSI and NCIS where the killer is found in one hour in a nice neat little bow.
The Killing may get canceleed due to the low ratings, but, the Producers wanted quality and they gave it the TV audience who wants excellent drama and makes you think and try and figure out who the killer is along with the police.
This is a great show that deserves better.
The Client List is unbelievably steady! This justifies Lifetime’s decision to renew it for a second season already. Good choice, Lifetime.
Dany’s dragons were never stolen in the Book. There I said it
@Bluetahoe
I mostly agree with everything you said. I personally enjoy the more realistic trudging of The Killing compared to the nonsense the networks spit out.
Then again, I was raised on Jane Tennison.
Holy shiiiiiii … the killing is in Rubicon territory… Goodbye the Killing…
@AC75
Then again, I was raised on Jane Tennison.
Then you should understand the core criticism of The Killing, the unnecessary stringing out the resolution of the murder. At the end of every single Prime Suspect series (3 to 4 hours each series), Jane and her team resolved the mystery, even if it was not neatly tied in a bow. Prime Suspect proves that it is possible to tell a compelling murder mystery with tough police work, office place sexism, and personal tribulations without stringing the audience along for hours on end.
@SarahL (not Simone)
“Then you should understand the core criticism of The Killing, the unnecessary stringing out the resolution of the murder.”
I understand it, but don’t agree with it.
Perhaps I just never expected all the answers at the end of the first season, but it didn’t bother me when it jumped to a 2 season arc.
Go Good Luck Charlie!!!!!!!! Thats amazing!!!
“the Producers wanted quality and they gave it the TV audience who wants excellent drama”
Seriously? It’s poorly written, poorly paced, and aside from Brent Sexton and Joel Kinnaman, the acting is mediocre at best. I tuned in Sunday for a few minutes and saw some Native American woman/casino gang ringleader present some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen on this network. Not to mention, the show’s inherent flaw in waiting until the final episode to reveal the killer. Why would someone endure 12 episodes of ridiculous red herrings every season?
Ok, can people stop pretending everyone who doesn’t like The Killing is just a big dumb idiot who wants instant satisfaction??? If cool that you like it, but try not insulting people who don’t. I haven’t watched it this season, and NOT because we never found out who killed her, but because after 13 episodes I didn’t even care who killed her.
@Remmy
I’d say the acting on The Killing is/has been mostly quite good, but that particular actress and scene you mention there was horrifically awful. It’s true.
OK – where’s the hockey guys:) ? (I think I have u guys a little gunshy
)
They usually populate this site every year touting their BS and spinning the bad NHL numbers for all they’re worth (taking the cue from ‘Puck the Media’ and SportsMediaWatch) – with all the salivating about the new NBCSN deal and the anticipation of national ratings bliss this was supposed to generate now was a good time to smack them all in da face with REALITY! – yaaah for me

Seriously, now that the unvarnished truth is sinking in re NBA vs NHL, if you ask me nicely I may allow u to get away with a little hockey lie now and then (joking, not really) – hey Matty where u at? Lol!
Its really an embarrassment for hockey – this was supposed to be the year where they really showed off their broad appeal vs, the NBA, now that they have all this national coverage (every Stanley Cup Game broadcast between NBC networks with cross-promotion on all NBC properties). The results so far have been disastrous – despite desperate attempts to spin it otherwise. It seems like ESPN knew what they were doing afterall – there’s only limited appetite for hockey in this country and the future of the already limited appeal looks bleak! – unlike the NBA that’s has no limit on its upside being regarded increasingly as must see TV for a growing number of people in the States and worldwide. In short, you closet (and not so closeted) bigots and buffoons, hockey’s really no competition to Basketball Ball in this country. Bettman better come up with more gimmicks as this year’s ratings show that this Canadian game has pretty little national support in these United States; and that;s how most of us like it. lol!
