THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY” REMAINS THE ONLY NETWORK EVENING NEWS BROADCAST TO POST YEAR-TO-YEAR RATINGS GAINS IN BOTH HOUSEHOLDS AND VIEWERS

SEASON-TO-DATE, THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY” CONTINUES TO BE THE ONLY NETWORK EVENING NEWS BROADCAST TO POST GAINS, UP +5% IN BOTH HOUSEHOLDS AND VIEWERS

            The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY closed the viewer deficit with ABC by almost 1 million viewers (from -2.13m to -1.17m) for the week of April 30, compared to the same week last year.

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted a 4.0/08 with 5.86m viewers according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week of April 30, remaining the only network evening news broadcast to post year-to-year gains among households (from 3.9/08, +3%) and viewers (from 5.84m), compared to the same week last year.

Season-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY continues to be the only network evening news broadcast to post year-to-year ratings increases among households (4.2/08 from 4.0/08, +5%) and viewers (6.27m from 6.00m, +5%), and is the only broadcast to maintain its adults 25-54 rating (1.5/06) compared to last season.
