Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Surely The Voice bit should read that it rose 2 tenths so it can’t be a series low.
Considering its terrible lead-in, I also think Hart of Dixie should be renewed now, it has been on its own basically for the whole season and did relatively well.
CBS did well! Awesome and explosive shows last night!
@John A
There is nothing denying that GG’s ratings suck, but it has been on for 5 years and it has ‘aged’, maybe it’s aged too much but it still has an excuse, it will get a final season because it’s a ‘CW trademark show’, however as much as I like Ringer, it’s in it’s first year, scoring 0.4′s (once a 0.3 preliminary), it doesn’t have room to grow because it’s a serial drama and it’s story i don’t think could last more than 1-2 seasons and Nikita is 2 years away from syndication and getting 0.4′s.
For GG, I blame the writers 100%.
They’re terrible and are the reason why for the low ratings.
LOWS, LOWS, LOWS?! WHAT’S WITH ALL THE LOWS?!
2 Broke Girls 2.9/3.4
NOT FAIR! Monday at 10 is so competitive! H5O is much bigger than this. And smash is still with this ratings only cause the voice. Next season will crash.H5O is third best drama after NCIS and POI for me. Period.
The Castle finale was SO good. Glad to see it won the hour in the demo. Gossip Girl was actually good last night too…hope they get a short final season.
YAY CASTLE!!!! The finale melted my brain, it deserved a ratings bump.
@John A : No they don’t, this is Gossip Girl’s first 0.4 (& it will probably be adjusted up) & Gossip Girl is in its 5th season, I think it earned its renewal for a final season, it’d be the end of the CW if they start mistreating their veteran shows ..
Now that Castle and Beckett “did it” the show will plunge. That always ruins it. Guarantee!
Isn’t this the only time this season Castle has beaten H50? On it’s season finale…Just wondering.
Not to say that a 2.3 is good, because it isn’t. I was hoping for better because the episode was amazing last night. Oh well.
How could the CW justify renewing GG with these ratings?
0.4 and under 900K viewers. There is no way to spin those numbers. They are just plain terrible.
How much further can GG really fall? IF it is renewed, will we expect to see 0.3′s on a regular basis?
Put it out of its misery CW!
GOSSIP GIRL 0.4 (3 Episodes)
NIKITA 0.4 (3 Episodes)
RINGER 0.4 (2 Episodes)
HART OF DIXIE 0.4 (2 Episodes)
L.A. COMPLEX 0.3 (3 Episodes)
WTF CW ! DEADER THAN DEAD !
So glad Hart of Dixie and Smash kept their ratings! Bad for Gossip Girl. I want it to be axed but I know how The CW feel about their veteran shows and I agree and completely understand they should give it a final short season. I believe they should do this with Nikita, too.
I know GG will be renewed an all but IT DOESN’T DESERVE TO BE!
Gosh NIKITA on a FRIDAY did better then GG!
CW(IF they are sensible) should just do a 2hrs Tv movie to send off this show.
Ouch at HFO but I said last week I predicted that Castle would beat it this week – I don’t begrudge Castle on weeks victory for its finale!
(I think I should get a job predicting these things cause I always seem to be right).
HFo will pick up next week for its finale and I’m just glad to see Smash down in third place as per usual.
Damn why did 2BG have to hit a new low. H5O seemed low as well.
Pathetic for GG.
HART OF DIXIE SEASON 2 HERE WE COME!
