Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I am dying at all the people saying GG will not be renewed because of a 0.4! Remember when TSC hit its first 0.5 and people were like “Just because it hit it once doesn’t mean it will be canceled!” Why is that not the case here?!?
GG is shame.
Hope HoD get renewed. Last nights episode was so good. Rachel <3
The excuse that people didn’t know 2BG was 1 hour could make sense, since the second half hour performed similarly to last week. I still don’t see why it can’t anchor the hour if it had to.
my favorite shows last night were Bones, Two and a half men, Mike & Molly, and Hawaii Five -0. All of them were great! and it was nice to see McGarrett back on Hawaii Five-0 too. The cast did a good job without him recently. but it’s even better now that McGarrett has returned!
“Castle’s” ratings will fall for sure. I was watching the clock. “DWTS” over-ran into the 10PM hour by at least a minute and a half. I predict “Castle” will get adjusted down 1-2 tenths. Awesome finale though. Come on ABC annouce it’s renewal already.
Just please renew Whitney NBC you won’t regret it!
@IsraelCD
Hart of Dixie newer get 0.4
Your info are wrong.
For a season finale of a well-established show, 2.5 is mediocre. Castle’s been losing to H50 all season long–winning with a finale against a non-finale doesn’t change the fact that H50 took timeslot dominance from Castle.
WTF GG. What it a new episode? The doesn’t even deserve a final season with those ratings.
H5O was excellent last night. Where did their fans go? Next week will be even better, from the previews.
@Steven Leitner
LOWS, LOWS, LOWS?! WHAT’S WITH ALL THE LOWS?!
First year following ratings?
It’s spring; this happens every year.
Good way to have a misleading headline…making it seem like “The Voice” fell from last week when it actually rose. This website really must not like it whenever NBC wins a night…for whatever reason.
^It*
Ok Nikita deserves the renewel not Ringer. I dont care what GG fan boys say 0.4 is awful. OTH and SPN are on alot longer and never did that terribly.
I’m pretty sure there is a typo with either House or Bones’ ratings. They couldn’t have gotten the same total viewer numbers..
@Chris, 2.5 Men’s finale as well as every other CBS Monday show minus 2BG’s air NEXT Monday.
GG is a joke if it gets renewed over hart of dixie i wont be happy, Sad to see hawaii50 go so low. I bet castle fans are happy that castle FINALLY beat hawaii50
Go Castle. Amazing finale and deserves those numbers. The show is going from strength to strength and i can only see it get better.
@KarenM – Yep every time a show goes there it ruins it! Plus its the only time this year Castle has beaten HFO and I’d be really worried about Castle if it couldn’t do that for its finale at least.
The only reason its gutting for HFO is it had pretty much its best episode last night and it seems idiotic to have put such a good episode across from Castles finale.
okay seriously lol what happened to GG!! lol Didn’t it just get interesting for some people?? I mean Bart is back people…from the dead!! (notice my sarcasm) obv…ppl dont like that Bart is back!
