Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Will you please grow up here. What made you think a finale for Castle was not going to beat H5O, and my the way a 2.5 for a finale, not that good. I actually watched H5O this morning, it rocked, watched Castle last night, didn’t blow my sock off. My the way, isn’t the finale the only time Castle won this year, again grown up.

Damn, Bones!!! 2BG is not funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • rob60990

@Israel, Hart of Dixie never had a .4 and this is Gossip Girl’s 1st .4 and Ringer had more than 2 .4s. Another one making up ratings.

    CW Cancellations

    1.The Secret Circle
    2.Ringer

2012 – 2013 is a do or die year for The CW . If they really are going to pick up six dramas and spread them all around the season like that of a cable network, I would say that’s a good idea. I am sure at least one of them will be a solid success and at least two others are moderately successful shows.

  • Mon

2BG still did very good especially at 8:30 only 0.3 behind The Voice (also 0.3 behind The Voice at 8:00). I hope we see those broke girls next season after the Super Bowl! I really hope!

  • Dillan

    GG and HoD half hours?

Out of all The CW bubble shows, i think GG will get a 13 episode final season, HoD 13 episode second season, TSC full season, Ringer and Nikita are both dead and will be cancelled.

  • Petar

2BG like lead-in in thursday against World Series/x factor/Idol can be in trouble. I prefer to be after TBBT and lead-in for POI. But whatever decide CBS i am ok.

  • Stella

Next season, Castle will crash and burn miserably.

Always happens when couples ‘finally get together’.

  • jt

I think there’s something wrong with that 2BG ratings. It should be much higher than that. Can anyone verify.

  • George

Glad to see Castle doing so well.

I like Hawaii 5-0 as well, shame they’re on against each other. In fact, it seems like all the shows I watch are piled onto Monday (except for Supernatural and Finder on Friday), which only got worse now they moved Bones there as well.

Was that GG’s first 0.4? And first dip below 900,000? I honestly don’t see how they can justify renewing it for even a mercy shortened final season. And the fact they haven’t yet announced a new showrunner makes me believe they might just cancel it.

  • Mary

I don’t like those numbers for H50. Hopefully, it improves next week.

Also, what happened to Smash? Before I went on vacation, it was getting somewhere around 2.3.

  • Burr

No matter what the ratings were that ep of H50 last night was KILLER and the finale is going to be off the hook! Best show on TV.

  • mindilee

HF0 was awesome last night – glad Castle was good too – will have to catch it later – was getting ready to quit watching that one if the plot didn’t pick up.

Hubby commented that the HF0 hugs at the end seemed almost like a welcome back to Alex as much as for McGarrett – they did seem awfully glad to all be back together. Really good acting or genuine friendship-maybe both!!

  • Ron

Really Castle fans/ Castle had a 3.3 last year for their finale. I wouldn’t knock anyone else down. Your show fell just a much as the next. Castle Fandom is the worst.

  • tjw

Wow, I remember the last few years people constantly complaining about how ABC was wasting the DWTS lead in on Castle and now Castle damn near beats its lead-in.

  • Nick

I honestly don’t understand the ratings for The Voice. It seems to be much bigger and more popular than the ratings reflect. It’s tearing up the iTunes charts – Tony Lucca’s performance is the third most downloaded song at the moment, and his, along with a few others, are likely chart very high on the Billboard Hot 100 next week. American Idol performances? They have yet to make an impact on iTunes, yet The Voice can only manage 10 million and a 3.7? I just don’t get it. It seems like the show blew up this season in terms of water cooler chat, Twitter, other social media outlets, and song downloads, yet its ratings are down.

  • HotLatino4GayMarriage

    @LOL@HotLatino

You grow up, anonymous poster. H-5-0 fans were always saying “Castle is a flop!” and when Castle beats it, what do they say? NADA, because you can’t say anything. Flop-0 is way more expensive than Castle and it’s not the hit CBS wanted it to be.

  • John

YES CASTLE!!! Hope it gets adjusted up.

  • RyanCanada

Castle was AMAZING last night Wow, im addicted to this show lol… now i have to catch up on season 1, 2 and 3, GoodBYE Gossip GIRL,
