    What does “Erin Burnett, contributor” mean?
    Does that mean she didn’t write it she just told the writer about her experience and edited what the actual writer wrote to make it sound like she wrote it?

  • leon hawker

    Good points Stinger. I guess my point is its one thing to change your mind and another to flip flop to pander to people. To idealogs a change to their point of view is”evolving” and if they change to an opposing view its a “flip flop”.

  • Michelle

    It’s pandering. Obama wants money so he flip-flopped on homosexual marriage.

    ‘Obama reversal on same sex marriage comes just days after donors threatened to withhold funds’

    @marvin
    Any idea how long her contract is for

    I really have no Idea, but after the election is over it may not matter. CNN has got to do something, they are becoming the laughing stock of Cable News

  • Rick

    Michelle
    I agree with you It’s pandering. I am not sure whether he actually changed his mind or whether he just said he did or whether he said he was against it in 2007 for Political reasons.

    That is my problem, I am not sure whether he means it or not.

    But, since Congress and State Legislatures write the laws it doesn’t really matter what he says about gay marrage.

  • Rick

    C Steve
    If CNN is the laughing stock of Cable News does that mean CNN stands for Comedy News Network.
    You think Conan would think about signing with them? It would help ratings.

  • Coffee Steve

    @Rick

    LOL…I don’t know, Conan just might bring their numbers up :-)

  • DB

    Rat, don’t even try to have an intelligent conversation with suiko. He will deny posting something even when it is shown to him in black and white. He will totally miss the point and make an absurd one himself. I was hoping he was missing the points on purpose because he had no argument but that was giving him too much credit. He misses the point because he can’t comprehend them. It must be said, he is not the sharpest blade in the drawer, in fact he is a fork.

    In north carolina the bible did not dictate the marriage amendment passing, it was the 61% of the voters who dictated its passing. It just so happens that the folks in my state believe in the word of God and take it seriously. They used their beliefs and principles to guide their vote. If folks in NC don’t like the outcome they can either live with it or they can move. The same thing can be said for those who don’t like the outcome of the next presidential election, live with it or leave. Suiko, read this five times and maybe you will get it–actually probably not.

    In 2008 Obama said that marriage was defined as between a man and a woman and in addition there was a spiritual component to marriage. God defined marriage as between a man and woman. Of course he was in an auditorium filled with christians and was being questioned by Rick Warren so, as Obama usually does he said what he thought the folks in the room wanted to hear. The man has no principles only the desire to be reelected.

    I used to like looking for the background reasons for stories when I made a living at it, and on all this Gay Marrige stuff, I wonder if Joe Bidens mouth may be a sign he may not be on the ticket in November? Just a thought..

    Night Everyone

    Peace

  • Rick

    If Joe Biden is not on the ticket in November that might mean that Obama would probably need to restaff the entire White House if he wins.
    Sign of a popular guy.

  • Rick

    Good night all

    lol at DB…

    Or the fact that I proved that Ratboy completely took my sentence out of context and didn’t even copy and paste ONE whole sentence of what I said. But nice try DB. Seems all you can do is call people names. :) Ratboy even knows it too, that’s why he stopped posting for the day, he ALWAYS does that to ANY of the people that prove their point to him. Gabe even said it himself, Ratboy just all of a sudden stops posting when he’s proven wrong and can’t back up what he said. I think it’s about time I just completely ignore all your posts because all you can do in here, it seems, is act immature and bad mouth people. That’s all you do to ANYONE in here that doesn’t believe in the same things as you. From me, to Jeff, to Gabe. You really are the worst of the worst and also not that bright either.

    “In north carolina the bible did not dictate the marriage amendment passing. It just so happens that the folks in my state believe in the word of God.”

    Would have been funnier if you said spoon, just saying. People interpreting the bible into our nations laws. So pretty much the bible dictated what people voted on in NC…..lol. hahahahaha Idiot.

    @rick.

    President Obama demonstrated what a good honest man that speaks up for what he believes in looks like.

    ——————————-

    Yea he was for gay marriage while running in Chicago, then changed his mind to being against it. Now he needs money & ground troops he’s for it again. That’s being honest & speaking up for what he believes in? :lol: LMAO :lol: Only took him 3+ years to be honest & speak up for what he believes in. :lol: LMAO :lol:

    I looked for the video on youtube, but its not there yet. On The Five Dana Perino said – (paraphrasing) “The CIA should make a video of an underwear bomber goofing up & blowing off his “ding ding.” Then show him in heaven with 72 virgins. The guys lol’d big-time. They couldn’t believe Dana said that. I’m guessing the video will be online tomorrow. BTW it was Dana’s B-day.

    Even if Obama didn’t come out to support same-sex marriage, the next Democratic candidate would have been for it in 2016. And the Republicans will eventually come around. A lot of younger Republicans are for gay marriage and its a generational issue. It’ll probably be around 2030, but oh well.

    You aren’t paying attention, dude…I live in california, the most liberal state in the union, and we’ve voted down gay marriage REPEATEDLY. Only liberal judges, ignoring thier oath of office, keep their hopes alive.

    Mitt saved the auto industry by suggesting that we “should let it go bankrupt”?

    Mitt wanted the LGBT community to believe they had no “better friend” than him until he decided that the teapartyers would make better friends when it comes to locking up his party’s nomination.

    Mitt was all for raising student loan interest rates when he called the Ryan plan “marvelous” before he all of a sudden backtracked and decided it would be better for him to campaign for the youth vote instead.

    Poor Mitt, he must be suffering from either split-personality disorder or whiplash from changing his positions when they are most politically expedient.

    Don’t be fooled by the Mitt. He wouldn’t know what a true political conviction was if it came up and bit him on the @ss!

    **********************************************

    Oh, you mean like Obama claiming he’s against gay marriage for years…then when the gay community threatens to not donate money to his already shaky re-election, he’s suddenly for gay marriage….but notice in his stupid little speach, he also said he wasn’t going to do anything about it…so everyone with a brain knows it’s just pandering to get donations…he’s no more evolved than he has ever been….but this is also telling…because he’s admitting, until now, he’s been unevolved…maybe those pictures of monkeys weren’t so far off then? Just saying, his words not mine.

    @Leon Hawker

    Might want to read what Obama said about gay marriage recently. He said his views has evolved on same sex marriage. Even in 2008, he’s ALWAYS said he’s believed in Civil Unions (to the best of my knowledge) and now supports same sex marriage as to when he was against it in 2008. That’s not flip flopping IMO.

    **************************************

    we know, it’s only flip flopping if a republican does it…sorry…Obama flip flopped not to buy votes, but to get campaign donations that the gay community already publically threatened to withhold…that’s flat out flip flopping just to get money.

  • Mark

    @Stan T

    The Republicans whole campaign besides swift boaters in 2004 was John Kerry is a Flip Flopper. I do think Romney takes Flip Flopping to a whole new level. While the republicans can claim Obama flipped on 1 issue(or at least did a partial flip of pro civil unions to pro marriage) he has ways to go to get to the levels of I take both sides of the argument Mitt. I am guessing the republican talking points feel if they call Obama a flip flopper on 1 issue it will some how muddy the waters to the 101 things Mitt has taken a stance on both sides of an issue that they both flip floppers.
