Fox has renewed Touch for a second season  - no word on number of episodes ordered yet. Not a surprise, both Bill and I thought renewal was more likely than cancellation.

Alcatraz is dead (no surprise)  and now Fox has canceled The Finder too (also no surprise).

Additionally Fox picked up 3 new comedies and two new dramas.

    DAMM, Alcatraz was something !

askfox@fox.com for comments on finder cancellation.

So let me get this straight – They renew TOUCH which has not so good ratings than expected, whilst ABC cancels MISSING which is one of the best dramas to air on a network after 24….Wow I am shocked !!! TOUCH is not that bad, I like watching it but nowhere near as good as other dramas. MISSING rocked the boat, yet it gets canceled, wow ! I can’t believe this from ABC…That show would have been renewed on FOX with their numbers.

I’m highly upset the finder was canceled. I’d rather have that over Touch. Guess they think touch will be as good as 24 was.

I liked The Finder, I thought it was fun and quirky. Hated Alcatraz and Touch both. The Finder was the first show on Fox I’ve consistantly watched besides Married with children and Prison break (til season 4). If your going to axe a show that quickly, they should at least offer closure, not more questions to end it. Thanks alot jerks!

I stopped watching Fringe after first season, it was boring and annoying.. Alcatraz seemed to be ok, but Finder? This show was great, I really hate, that they cancelled it! :-((((((

Disappointed that Alcatraz was cancelled especially with the ending and now not knowing if she’s really dead. Hopefully another station or Netflix will pick it up.

  • Bob

This show was ok for the first couple of episodes then it just got horribly BORING! But they cancell The Finder

I think touch is for inteligent people, good show, people believe in hope. but American Idol is show for loser they like see in other they cant do…………..

Wow, why would they cancel finder? who watch’s shows on a box top anyways? Oh well i guess fox itself will be canceled because the money has done moved and they have not relised it yet too bad.

I don’t know what you’re all talking about, I love Touch. I guess it’s the sappiness that turns a lot of people off? It’s a flawed show but I love it. Alcatraz on the other hand I could barely get through the first episode and I called it a day. Acting was so lousy.

Liked the Finder. Love Touch it has a following were I work. But I wish some of these channel would get rid of reality TV because really it not reality.

  • Lorian Rivers

Touch is so much better than Alcatraz! Alcatraz was mindless drivel…you actually have to WATCH and PAY ATTENTION to Touch, and it’s worth every bit of attention!

Touch is not very good at all. I almost watch everything being disabled with my back but Touch has been so bad it might be 1 I don’t even bother to DVR next season between my 2 DVRs. I loved Alcatraz, it was 1 of my favorite shows. I don’t understand why people didn’t like that show. I thought it was so interesting, it kept me very entertained. I watch Fringe also but liked Alcatraz more. Person of Imterest and Grimm are my 2 favs. I really liked Terra Nova the first few episodes but i was getting bored with it. I don’t watch any of the cartoon shows so I wouldn’t care if they cancelled all of them. Losing House and Deaperate Housewives is going to stink, loved both of those shows. GDC or whatever it’s called was only fair, could take it or leave it. Just hope they come out with some killer shows because I love my TV, lol.

Loved Finder – Touch is massively dull and whiny & Alcatraz felt pretentious to say the least. Point of fact, Finder was the only “new” show that I watched this season; I’ll miss it.
