PP should get a 10 episode final season order to fill in for DWTS results absence in at midseason.
Private Practice should get cancelled, those results are terribel. Body of Proof was doin’ 9.5-11 million and at least 2.2 with such a huge lead in.
The cw is a joke, honestly I think that they should just team up with another network like abc family and transfer VD SPN 90210 And their new pilots plus abc programs they would fill up sun-fri and I bet they’d be more successful…
Speaking of Comcast in general, they do have authority over what gets renewed on any of the NBC owned networks. Especially as Eureka was cancelled by them. Syfy wanted to keep but Comcast said no.
Same can be said for many cancelled shows I suppose. Stating the obvious here but they are like the supreme overlords now. Hah.
Settle down PP nay sayers. It got slayed by The Voice. It’ll bounce back next week
I find it really hard to believe that The Voice cost Private Practice a third of its prior-week viewership. I’m not gonna criticize its ratings too much because I do want it back, but this really puts Body of Proof’s ratings into perspective.
Worried for LMS, I hope it makes it to season 2.
The Voice Season 3 definitely this fall. As much I think they should follow the Idol template of one per season, they need 3 hours of good ratings as they launch new shows.
If only NCIS’s viewership was a little younger. almost 18.5 million viewers and they can hardly crack a 3. that’s more impressive than the fact that it still leads close to season 10.
“Especially as Eureka was cancelled by them. Syfy wanted to keep but Comcast said no.”
Please produce credible evidence of that.
I doubt that anyone at Comcast corporate is making programming decisions at Syfy. It’s barely conceivable that someone at NBCU corporate intervened in a Syfy programming decision.
LOL
BoP never got 2.2 with DWTS lead in
@ OERM
Actually its was averaging 1.9-2.1 with the DWTS lead in.
What??? PP 1.4?? What the hell were the fans doing?? Last few weeks it hit series’ low with 1.7 and the fans were already terrified. People I know it’s The Voice finale and everything but at least you should’ve tuned in to keep this amazing show alive! We will do better next week with the finale we promise… ABC pls don’t take it away
Private Practice is dead!!!
So, Private Practice is pulling same demos as Body of Proof? And, it has a lower audience? Hmmm…
No PP is NOT dead! It will DEFINITELY get a final season no matter how many episodes there might be! No scripted is strong enough to stand strong against The Voice live finale. I know 1.4 is really bad but i’m sure that the fans DVRed it and will bounce back next week for the finale! It’s a good thing that PP’s finale won’t have to fight against The voice anymore. And the most important thing is i think none of the results from this week or next week are gonna affect the renewal decision since the deal should probably be done by now. Just hope PP will get a full final though…
@BJH
Thats because Body of Proof does well in the 50+ age demo and excutives don’t look at that. Most of their viewers are supposely over 50 years old. (I doubt I believe that)All they care about is the 18-49 demo. Acutally as of right now Body of Proof demos are doing better than Private Practice. Private Practice overall demo is probably better than BOP. But at least BOP has chance at renewl now.
90210 shed a lot of viewers from what was reported in the preliminary report.
I am surprised it held on to the 0.6
Hart of Dixie had more viewers than 90210 so I think it will be renewed.
I know total viewers don’t matter but in the CW’s case, I think they will look at viewers as well
@ Ultima @ Holly @ Bill Gorman
I clearly stated “Listen to the Comcast Analyst calls.”
You could also review their Stockholders Presentations, 10K and 10 Qs and Road Shows.
I find it amazing that you mock me for believing what the executives of Comcast have communicated.
Comcast has a fiduciary responsibility to their stockholders, so one can be assured that they are being as forthcoming as possible in the above mentioned resources.
@ Ultima “And I play the role of the harsh, mocking voice of reality and reason.”
No, not really, you come off as someone that might know a little something about television ratings, but does not have a clue as to how businesses operate.
I guess it is easier to play the mean girls game and convincing yourself into believing that being “harsh and mocking” makes you right, but in reality it does not.
All this is getting too deep, and I come to the site because it is a fun site, I come to this site for funsies and entertainment.
As such I refuse to get into your mean girl games, and from now on will only be involved in entertainment and funsies.

When you make a nonsense claim like you did, don’t then tell someone else to “look it up”, substantiate your own claim.
So, where exactly in either those documents or an analyst call (transcripts certainly available) did Comcast say NBC executives are nearly getting fired now?
Not that they’re just disappointed (or very disappointed, or terribly disappointed) in the performance of NBC, but as you wrote “NBC executives… are close to being fired now”?
Take your time, we can wait.
We are a fun site, but occasionally I like to prune a bit of the nonsense that tends to grow up around the flower beds.
lol @ the LA Complex, but its not so bad if u watch it cause itll be online (it has good canadian reatings and was renewed there)
