Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @Jenny
The Voice got 4.3 due to Bieber? Ha!
Was Bieber 2 hrs in there?
Bieber fans mostly 54 . It wast count.

Last season the rating dropped too.
    But it rebound this season.
I’m sure next year they’ll up again.

  • Fred

Nice to see CT get a decent bump. Hope it doesn’t adjust downward. CT is just too funny to fail. So far, this third season has been very funny. Maybe even better than the first two seasons.

  • Jenny

Gotta love New Girl , Fox has another hit.

Loved last night, heart breaking and funny.

Loved the Beep Beep road runner responce to the Coyote

  • Bee

OMG NO. if ABC cancels PP because it fell against the toughest hour of the voice finale one week, after doing 2.0+ for two weeks there and winning its timeslot both times, and a season of good to solid ratings, i will cut someone. also, WHY ABC would you make the promo all about pete and some diffiult case of his? that wont attract any viewers. the biggest draw is always addison. and then charlotte and amelia. ugh. why did it have to fall so far damnit!?

Not everyone loves Justin Beiber. That is the only part of the show we didn’t watch last night. We turned the channel while he was on. He can’t sing and he doesn’t even look good. It’s only teen and adolescent girls who think he is all that.

As to the talent, I don’t get all the hype over Juliet. I found her the weakest of the 4 esp. on Monday night. She was really off.

I was rooting for Chris Mann, but I do think that Christina hurt his chances and put him at the bottom.

I know so many of my friends said they wouldn’t vote for him due to their dislike of her. I hate that people couldn’t get over that and just vote on talent. But they just hated the way she has acted some this season. I thought she was much better last year with her comments and the snide remarks. They came off as sarcasm last year; this year she just came off as a total biotch.

Well next week it is to all cable channels on Monday and Tuesday. None of the dreck offered on the networks on those 2 nights appeals to me. And I didn’t like Howie/Pierce on America’s Got Talent but I could watch and tolerate it. I will never watch anything with Howard Stern on it. He just falls into that same category of the Khardasians, Lindsey Lohan, Jon & Kate, and a few others that I just refuse to watch.

  • Baqinardo

Ugh. Sorry for the weird and double comments.
My internet is not working properly.

I meant bieber fans are under 18 and above 54.

  • Jenny

How does everyone think America’s Got Talent with Howard Stern will do?

I say first show 4.0 and then big drops.

  • Michael

Not that it matters, but this 90210 third time hitting a 0.6? So weird, I’m so used to seeing it at a 0.7!

LA Complex only has like 2 episodes left.

  • Jenny

@ Baqinardo “Ugh. Sorry for the weird and double comments.
My internet is not working properly. I meant bieber fans are under 18 and above 54.”

I do not think Justin Bieber has any fans above age 54. I don’t think Justin Bieber has any fans over the age of 25.

I enjoyed both Last Man standing and Unforgettable last night. I agree with the others on this board about Unforgettable. I also really liked this show. But I also noticed that it ended on a cliffhanger last night.

  • Kat

Whoever said that American Idol beat NCIS last week and maybe the week before, you need to check your facts. NCIS was the number one show overall last week and has been the number one show of the week since the week of March 20, 2012. My evidence, tvbythenumber.com. This website reported it

Hopefully that will help the CW renew Hart Of Dixie, my favorite show.

I still think that CW should sell Hart Of Dixie to NBC, and NBC put it after The Voice and watch the ratings soar !

  • Cath

We old folks have these not so new fangled devices that record shows so that we can watch multiple shows if we want to and don’t have to make strict viewing choices mandated by real time. Watched “NCIS” and “NCIS LA” but recorded “Glee and “New Girl” to watch later. Don’t like singing shows. Prefer “So You Think You Can Dance” with real (for the most part) dancers.” Also watch shows on the Internet.

  • Jenny

Thanks for the info. it seems oversaturation of talent shows is hurting all the talent shows. This is not a good sign for Americas Got Talent.

  • Sarah

I may be naive but I don’t feel like the ratings for this week really matter. With upfronts next week I think the networks made their decisions at the end of last week. I still don’t understand why ABC hasn’t announced renewals for shows like Modern Family and OUAT, but I think they already have their plan.

  • S.

Why are people so happy with the idea that PP will bounce back for the season finale? It will be to late, the upfronts will be the afternoon before the finale, and by then the fate of the show has been sealed.

  • Andrew

With Hart of Dixie performing similarly to 90210 the past few weeks and with Hart of Dixie leading out of the worst lead in show ever, I think The CW will renew Hart of Dixie.

    Ringer is dead.
The LA Complex is even more dead.
Nikita is not getting another season.

The people at the CW are going to be looking very closely at the Secret Circle’s finale numbers tomorrow.
If they are as bad as recent weeks or even decreases, I don’t think they will renew.
If it goes up from recent weeks, I can see them renewing it & sending it over with Supernatural.

  • Anita

I hope Private Practice returns next season. I find it hard to believe ABC wouldn’t look at the whole night and see The Voice finale as the reason for the lower week. I know the show doesn’t get the ratings Grey’s does but for me I enjoy it and would like another season. I’m at the point where I am ready to drop Grey’s. I like both Private Practice and Scandal better than Grey’s now.
