In the no surprise at all column (at least for anyone who followed its ratings even infrequently), CBS isn't bringing back freshman Friday drama A Gifted Man according to Variety.

CBS – you’re crazy to cancel such an intelligent & inspiring show like “gifted man”!!!
Best medical drama sine the beginning of ER and HOUSE! The is so much chemistry on show to continue w/ great story lines like it had been doing!!!

  • Jenn

Body of Proof and Scandal renewed.

  • KATHI

My 10 year Grandson and I looked forward to watching A Gifted Man, bring it back please

  • Tara

This makes me so sad. My husband and I watched this show every Friday night. We loved the story lines and the premise. They should have moved it to a differnt night. Most people are out on Fridays. I am really disgusted with TV. They cancel all the good shows.

  • Kathie

What a shame! This was a great show with fantastic story lines. If the show had more marketing, it would succeed! Not many people know of the show…. word of mouth is the only way I found out. Bring back the Gifted Man!!!

  • Shirley

Please rethink !!!!! “A Gifted was the only CBS show on Friday nights that I watched. It is a great show.

I would like to cancel cbs, nbc, fox and abc for canceling the shows I watch
then they keep the crappy reality show and their mindless so called comedy show I can see with the network line up I won’t be watching alot of network tv too bad we can’t get refunds from our cable networks or maybe they should pay us to watch bad network tv all I have to say to fox, cbs, nbc, abc
YOU ARE FIRED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!for airing bad tv

  • Christian

I hope they will renew Unforgettable. Bether that than any of the CSI crap. At least Unforgettable has the lady with hyperthisemia beside the procedural thing. A CSI is enough for me. Give Unforgettable a chance and cancel one of the aldready boring spin-offs.

  • Marla

I really loved watching A Gifted Man!! They should’ve brought in appearances by his ghostly ex-wife a little more, but all in all, I loved the show and I really will miss it.

  • Sally

A gifted man was a great show…good story lines, can’t believe it was canceled and these other STUPID shows are still on, such has The Bachelorette..The Bachelor and other mindless shows…..if it isn’t stupid and blood and guts it gets canceled!!!!!

  • shawna

In my lifetime I have only been this disappointed aboutt a cancelation of a network series twice until now. It has been awhile since I felt this way. The first time was when CBS was almost too blind to recognize the potential of talent they had brought together. The unlimited possibilties of stories the writers could tell with these extremely likable woman. Thank heaven someone at CBS woke up out of their coma . If he or she had not we never have been able to experience such a great and thought changing series for almost six years. Not too mention how Many would have been left a lot less financially comfortable today. Well it looks like they are asleep again, and losing another series with unlimited amount of potential for many. This show made you think, feel and be entertained. However I will say that someone should have lit a firecracker under the head writers butt. Had she not had been so long to get where she got on the series finale she would have kept many more viewers attention. We had to wait an entire season to be excited about these characters an entire season to start rooting for these characters to come alive. The writers should have had our attention and loyalty by the sixth episode not the last. Left finally excited only to be let down by the fact that we would never see the storied unfold that we patiently watched a very slow set up of these stories. All it would have taken is to have had someone be awake enough to say three very simple minded words “speed things up”. I am really sorry to this show be taken off the air. Many people are accountable for a big mistake that never needed to happen.

  • Lorraine

Darn! I love this show! I looked forward to watching it! It had heart
What’s the world coming to when they keep shows on the air like
The Real Hosewives or Jersey Shore ( which I don’t watch)
    and cancel A Gifted Man!
    Bummer

  • Devin

Failures (cancellations) are usually announced pre-upfronts. Networks don’t want to stand in front of advertisers & talk about their failures.

  • mary shipp

I loved the gifted man tv show as many of my friends did. We waited anxiously every week for the show. I do hope it comes back on soon.

  • Judy

My husband and I always enjoyed watching this show..and looked forward to it every week. How do they get these ratings? They never called US !!!
Please re-consider. Maybe a different night? There’s so much trash on TV that should be cancelled instead!

  • Debbie

I love A Gifted Man, don’t take a good show off This show totally grabs me every time. There are plenty of bad shows you could do away with. Put it in a different time slot and give it a chance.

  • barbie
