   Uhhhh what? Cousins can marry each other in NC, it just can’t be a “double cousin” marriage. Yet they won’t let gays get married. I see that you totally missed my point….good job….

   Before you write something you should probably think about whether it really makes sense because it does reflect on you.

   It would be nice if the three of you would just ignore each other for a while it is not like you have to live with each other and you don’t have to participate on this blog.

   Why is there this B.S. going back and forth with DB and Jack?

   I don’t always agree with you and some time you sound angry and other times you sound cynical. I thought the comment about NC was more cynical and out of jest then really serious. I have freinds that live in KY and they just laugh off such banter because it was in jest.

   Ignore DB & Jack, they don’t make sense to me half time. It just seem they want to be rude.

   It was in jest but it was based on facts. It’s sad that NC allows you to marry your cousin but won’t let gays marry. Too bad DB is just too ignorant to understand what was said….he also doesn’t know what the words sarcasm or cynical means. But don’t worry I’ve come to grips that all DB can do is call people names do I don’t take him serious at all anymore. Noticed how he went all quiet now when I showed how ignorant he was with my NC “joke”.

    Likely Obama – 161
    Leans Obama – 92
    Toss Up – 115
    Leans Romney – 39
    Likely Romney – 131

    If the leans and likely stay as is all Obama needs(253) is Ohio to win. All that being said I think Nevada(6) and New Mexico(6) aren’t sure bets despite being “leans Obama”. Romney might want to get a VP to help win Pennsylvania, I am pretty sure that state will stay Dem but it might be stealable with the right VP

    I think Obama will win because the Republicans are swinging so far to the right they are fearing people into voting their only other choice. In all reality if the Republicans as a whole were more Moderate, they would have clobbered Obama

    MSNBC could increase there numbers by mearly allowing a different perspective other than 24hrs of hate , I actually try watching to get a different perspective and all they do is hate on anyone who is not a dem ???? if you had someone to counter the hatred being spewed it would be interesting and I would watch , but as long as you have one sided commentary it is strickly a network of angry bashers !!! Seen Ed or that whack Job Lawrence lately ??????? I have to keep my kids away from the tv when they are on !

    The presidential race recently took a turn for the humorous when the Obama campaign revealed its latest ridiculous microsite: ‘The Life of Julia.’ Visitors were treated to a web-based slideshow that follows an imaginary woman—Julia—as she benefits from Obama’s unsustainable government largesse throughout her nonexistent life. This revealing and creepy fictional illustration of dependency soon became the butt of well-deserved ridicule, especially since its debut coincided with a reminder that Obama’s girlfriend in his first memoir was a “composite.”

    As funny as the ‘Julia’ parodies and imaginary girlfriend jokes may have been, however, they skirted a larger issue: President Obama is a composite, too, and his carefully crafted political identity is coming apart.

    The incumbent has been given more leeway and control over his life story than any other president in memory. Most of the details of his early life come directly from his own pen. The media did not scrutinize him. His pre-political years and associations were given nowhere near the attention that media outlets have paid to those of Sarah Palin or Mitt Romney. Only now, with the impending arrival of David Maraniss’ biography, will Obama’s early life be the subject of fair-minded but scrupulous inquiry.

    Not until three and a half years into his presidency will readers discover that, according to his college friends and acquaintances, Obama made a decision in early adulthood to identify as “American” and not Kenyan and “black” and not white or biracial. Talk about presidential firsts: One friend told Maraniss that Obama was “the most deliberate person I ever met in terms of constructing his own identity.” The objective, said the friend, was political power. Obama’s autobiography should be viewed as part of this composite-building project.
