   Faiz Shakir, editor of ThinkProgress blog accused of anti-Israel, anti-Semitic bias, headed to Nancy Pelosi’s office

   House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) has hired the controversial editor of a blog recently engulfed in scandal over its use of language that Jewish groups have described as anti-Semitic and anti-Israel.

   Faiz Shakir, the editor in chief of the Center for American Progress’ ThinkProgress blog, is set to become a senior adviser to Pelosi and her office’s director of new media, according to reports.

   Shakir piloted ThinkProgress through a contentious period during which the liberal online outlet faced accusations of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic bias due to its reporters’ use of the term “Israel firster,” language historically associated with white supremacists.

   I have only one word for this Romney High School thing. Absurd

   In the early 60’s, who cared anything about being Gay? It was the live and let live times. We were more focused on civil rights and drugs. In school, you had the straight kids who hated hippies, and the hippies just could not understand why they were hated. In the 60’s we had names like beatnik, hippy, love child, warmonger, flower child, establishment, cool, hip, uncool, way out, far out, square, beautiful people, fuzz, pig, and tripping. If you had long hair you were looked at as being a hippy, not gay.

   What was BO doing in his high school days? Smoking pot, doing drugs? If they want to dig into the past, I would be more concerned with Obama’s illegal activity and early disregard for the laws of our country.

   Not yet, T-19 days and counting. I do not know if I will fully retire. It is in the genes. Father turns 77 next month and as I said before he is playing in Afghanistan. I retired once before but was driving the better half crazy remodeling the house. Can’t do that in a trailer. In the mean time when she is off teaching in another state I will pull chocks, hit the road with the house and go where she is. Best thing is we will have about as much disposable income as we do now with me working. Strange how that works.

    “Bit surprised MSNBC didn’t score higher ratings last night after the President’s endorsement for gay marriage.” Welcome back, btone31. It is always a good thing when you appear to say, ‘hello’. The numbers for all stations are way down and I think people realize that they are getting whatever the corporations want their employees to say. People have moved on to various blogs, newspapers to get the scoop, well at least a scoop closer to the truth than MSM. I don’t have a good feeling about the future, btone31, not good at all. I just filled up my tank that was not at empty, Honda Accord V6, and spent $40.00, when I know I should not be paying over $2.00 a gallon, I paid $3.83 per gallon. What can you do? Pay, pay, pay.

    U.S. Concerned Netanyahu, Mofaz May Attack Iran

    The United States is worried that Shaul Mofaz and his Kadima party’s joining a unity government with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu could result in an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities at any given moment

    The report said that when the Americans believed early elections would be held in Israel on September, they thought it meant the attack in Iran would be postponed at least until after the election. Now, with the stabilization of Israeli politics and the current government likely to end its term on schedule, the situation has changed and the Americans are concerned.

    Well dah! I am not even in the think tank and I know Netanyahu would have not called for early elections if would have put a delay and prevent a lost opportunity to strike if it arises or not be called in his favor. Just like in Congress, they only call for a vote when they already know the outcome or under pressure to get it passed. Netanyahu is no fool; he would not do this under pressure when his parliament could hold out for something in return.

    If this was a surprise to the US then me thinks we really need to change out the think tank staff quickly.

    Yes, me thinks we are clueless.

    As POTUS in Election year, I guess it is better to jump on board and support your VP rather than to not condone thier words.

    Yet I do not belive that “revealing” is the right word. I do not belive that BO had any intention of supporting Gay Marriage. Has he signed anything yet?

    Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall as POTUS scolded VP B.

    No we talked about the low interest rates and how it doesnt mean a damn thing because people cnat qualify because the jacked the requirements up, or they can buy because they are under water, and they cant re-fi because they cant get the house to appraise (see under water).
