As expected, Parenthood has been renewed for a fourth season of 15 episodes by NBC. NBC also confirms that 30 Rock has been renewed for a seventh and final season of 13 episodes. These renewals join Law & Order: SVU which was renewed for a 14th season yesterday.
NBC also picked up its 3rd and fourth new dramas Do No Harm and Infamous.

Harry’s Law next to be renewed
@Allen
Rumor on the interwebs is that Parks and Community are getting a 13 episode final season.
I have a hard time believing that NBC would be so stupid as to give final season orders that don’t add up to syndication numbers. Surely they can find a way to bite the bullet and find the resources for the extra 11 total episodes needed to get both Community and P&R to 88.
P&R and Community next please!
@Ray
Lol no. Not happening.
I really don’t think this is good news for Community. With still no word and them burning off its last three episodes next week, I think Community fans should be ecstatic if it gets a 13 episode goodbye season.
The bad news is that the drama has only been picked up for 15 episodes beginning in Fall 2012, but there’s always the chance that NBC may extend the order, as they did this past season.
Parenthood will have 15 episodes next season.
If 30 Rock is only getting 13 episodes and gets the same ratings as Community, why would they even bother renewing Community!? Its gonna get canceled!
I can’t imagine County will get picked up now that they’ve given Do No Harm a series order. The premise wasn’t terribly captivating, but it had a solid writer and cast behind it, so I was hoping it would get the nod. But I guess NBC wants to go with something a little more out there to try to grab some eyeballs.
If Community and Parks get short 13 episode seasons they will have 84 and 81 episodes respectively, NBC may as well order full seasons of both so they can have 93 and 90 just enough for syndication
Glad to see 30 Rock get one last season and glad to see Parenthood picked up as well.
If all the Thursday night shows go after next season, unless NBC can get football on Thursday, not sure what they would air.
@Dan, don’t be surprised if they get short orders (less than 22), but I will be very surprised if they are both only 13.
Why 15 episodes of Parenthood?
“Notorious” has been renamed as “Infamous”.
“If 30 Rock is only getting 13 episodes and gets the same ratings as Community, why would they even bother renewing Community!? Its gonna get canceled!”
Community will get renewed for syndication. At least that’s its excuse. 30 Rock doesn’t deserve another season.
Isn’t 15 a bit short for Parenthood, considering they need 35 episodes to reach 88? I figured they’d just do two more seasons of 18 episodes.
@ Kevin
New shows?
Not sure why Parenthood is only get 15 episodes — they are 35 from syndication status, and I cannot see NBC not getting the show there at this point
How smart (or stupid) is it for them to keep butchering these episode orders?
No news on County, I think its dead, biggest surprise among these pilots. It was always reported as a sure thing by Deadline and Variety.
