I know there are different standards for unscripted shows, but the ratings were atrocious…I’m surprised it stuck around this long. Had some good segments though.

NBC has Dateline, and even though it’s a billion years old, it still draws a decent number of viewers. It’s not the 90s, when NBC was pretty much white urban comedies, “ER” and Dateline, but it’s reliable. So, if they need an hour of filler, why didn’t they just do 2-3 episodes of Dateline a week instead of this program?

couldn’t have happened to a more deserving network and anchor.

I think that Rock Center would have been better on a different night like Friday or Saturday. I think ultimately NBC will renew Rock Center and place it on Fridays at 8 PM right before Dateline so therefore they have just a whole three hour “news” programming block.

    Fair enough.

Most of you are responding as though it has been cancelled. It hasn’t. When it’s on next year at this time, will any of you feel foolish?

Not me. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it’s a temporary replacement for a failed rookie drama next season.

Sorry Brian :( It wasn’t bad either. But NBC just fooled around with it too much. Wonders what will happen to Ted Koppel and Harry Smith now :S

I guess Brian Williams is going to have to settle for the 9 Million viewers he gets at 6:30 PM

It’s the right decision, however I feel bad for all the journalists and behind the scenes news people who will soon be losing their jobs. I mean, I feel sorry for all people who lose their jobs when a show gets cancelled, however we need more, not fewer, journalists in this world.

    Brock Center With Rian Williams.

  • KirbbDogg

it was bound to happen. Brian was trying to push this show down no stop. Also everything it was on Rock Center was beaten by O’Relly. No matter what day it was on. And then moved it to 9.

Im glad Fashion Star was renewed. I thought it was a good show that enough people didn’t check out. Too me the TV mainstream critics is what ruins TV. They are so pompous amd think they know it all.
