So if ABC is done with picking up shows they produce, the only ones that have a chance are 666 Park Ave, Awesometown, Family Trap, Gotham, How to Live with Your Parents, Last Resort, The Smart One, and The Unprofessional. Scruples too but that sounds dead.

Well I’m still hoping Devious Maids gets picked up by some network (not NBC or CW though, I don’t want it to be canceled). Maybe ABC picked it up and we just haven’t heard yet.

Could be, but they are in the enviable position of not needing very many. They start next season with 6 strong comedies already in place.

These are just pickups of series produced by ABC Studios! There are going to be other pickups from another studios!!
LOL seams like forever since the last time we heard any buzz on Zero Hour, I think everybody called it dead!
And at least for now it look like the buzzed Devious Maids won’t be picked up! Thanks God, that was going to be awful despite having a lot of big stars!! ABC has to learn that they haven’t to pick up a show just to please the producer(Off The Map) or because it already has a name(like Charlie’s Angels)!

Why aren’t ABC picking up shows made by ABC studios? I thought that was a reason why some shows are favored by ABC for picking up/ renewal more than one’s produced by other studios…
ABC will pick up more pilots but they are done with the pilots made by ABC Studios. They are going to outside suppliers to fill the rest of the slate.
If they pick up from outside, those pilots have to pay ABC a lisence fee to air them. So ABC makes more $$$$$
Hopefully once Delta Burke recovers Counter Culture will swoop in and save midseason. Comeback Jack and The Neighbors both sound kind of dumb to me, primarily the latter, so I expect them to be killed quickly.
@rob60990: So they did in fact pick up the alien sitcom? Great! I was dying to see that one.
But still, why are so many people writing off Last Resort now? Look what happened with Revolution on NBC, so many people were saying that pilot was dead. And what about 666 Park Avenue?
Then again, ABC did order, what, six drama shows this year? And only three have survived, with almost no chance of any more freshman renewals. They could do it again.
