No surprises, and some of these fall into the "now more canceled than ever" category, but NBC confirms it has canceled 'Awake, 'Are You There Chelsea,' 'Best Friends Forever,' and 'Bent.' For semantic purists, that's canceled as in definitely won't be back next season as opposed to 'Awake' being yanked off the schedule for next week.
No word yet on Harry's Law...

For anyone who’s interested in the final two episodes of Best Friends Forever, NBC is airing them Friday, 1 June at 8.
The one’s I am waiting on….
ABC: Don’t Trust in Apt 23, Last man Standing, GCB, Body of Proof, Private Pratice.
FOX: Napolean Dynamite and Bob’s Burgers
NBC: Harry’s Law
CBS: Unforgettable, ROB!, CSI:NY, CSI:Miami, Rules of Engagement
Numbers person: ABC will renew Apt 23, Last man…and that’s it!! Yes, PP is over….
FOX will renew Bob’s Burgers
CBS will renew CSI: Miami
I STILL LIKE HARRY’S LAW no matter what these guys say…but other than that, all the rest will/should be cancelled imo.
OMG.
Sad for Chelsea. But i was expecting this
@alexmathayes
STOP right there pal OUaT is 1000 times better than AWAKE
Not sad to see Chelsea go, but I will miss a few characters from the show!
@josh
Well said, shocked anyone could call a well written drama show such as Once Upon a Time brainless. If anything the writers have gone to great lengths to flesh out the story and the characters this season. Many if not all of the characters in this series are likable.
Clearly he hates the show because it’s popular.
@josh & @TheEnd the number of intelligent people will always be less than the number of ppl who actually don’t have to use thier brains to figure out the the storyline.
Awake is million times better than OUaT because of 1 very simple reason that its based on a brilliant concept and not some fairy/magical story concept.
Sad part is, BENT was one of the funniest comedies on NBC. Seems like they never had any intention of it succeeding, ordering only six episodes and burning them off opposite Modern Family in a 3-week period. NBC once again reaffirms what is widely known in the media community: The decision-makers there don’t have a freakin’ clue about how to run a network. Last-place again in 2012-13? A foregone conclusion.
Thanks Amanda Peet and David Walton….your comedy was outstanding.
@alexmathayes
Your logic is flawed. Good day.
@alexmathayes
so im dumb? please ..may be awake is dumb and may that is why people has stoped watchin it..
A renewal of Harry’s Law would turn this website upside down. The “numbers” show ZERO percent chance of renewal. Harry has only 35 episodes, so a renewal would mean nothing for syndication…….it would have to be renewed three more times.
I think Bill and Robert are correct…….it won’t be renewed…..but clearly the trigger has not been pulled…….YET. Maybe they can find more really young actors who used to be on “Boston Legal” to cast on the show.
No. (That’s for Awake)
Based on your own numbers, these are not shocking. Where is ABC with the rest of their pick ups?
Still need Apt.23 and Scandal. I got my Happy Endings already!!
‘Awake’ was my favorite new show………….rats!!
@alexmathayes
I guess you invented some new way of measuring intelligence. Let’s get rid of school, legit IQ tests, etc. You can be the director of a new system where intelligence is measured by what people watch on tv. When you’re making millions at least think of me for giving you this idea.
Anyways, I still have to laugh at people linking “ENTERTAINMENT” to intelligence. Every show has a variety of different viewers. You should try to figure out what brainless means first and then see if that applies to you.
Kathy Bates just announced on twitter that Harry’s Law is over
Awake should’ve been cable show. Only surprise on the list is the absence of Harry’s Law. I had lost hope, but now I’m thinking a renewal is possible but still unlikely.
Awake is a show that belongs on cable… period.
The idea for Awake series might be too intellectual for some people who just want to let their brains remain in netural while watching television.
cable shuld pick up Awake
thankfully they got Chelsea off–her “humor” has such a limited appeal & a terrible message–she thinks the world loves her–when it’s only a small little niche audience–
hope they keep Whitney on–much better show & message
