No surprises, and some of these fall into the "now more canceled than ever" category, but NBC confirms it has canceled  'Awake, 'Are You There Chelsea,' 'Best Friends Forever,' and 'Bent.' For semantic purists, that's canceled as in definitely won't be back next season as opposed to 'Awake' being yanked off the schedule for next week.

No word yet on Harry's Law...

So sad for Awake. A quirky little show with great writing and a superb cast, but a small niche audience. I hope they resolve the “2 worlds” before it ends. Another of the “Lost” knockoffs that will join FlashForward, The Event, and Terra Nova in dust heap of shows that had possibilities, but few viewers.

Not a big surprise, but I’m gonna mis Mr Isaacs.

Thank God for these cancellations, but BFF was really funny. Awake could have been better, I was disappointed just like Alcatraz.

I am sorry Awake has been cancelled. I don’t think it’s been given a fair chance at all. I think it had potential; ok not a mind-blowing series perhaps but thought provoking. I was already interested in the main characters and wanted to see where their story would lead. I do get fed up of networks cancelling programmes with no thought to their loyal viewers; don’t get me started on Ringer:-(.

Awake being cancelled is proof that people are –
    1. Devoid of any brainfunction
    2. Have no standards or taste regardinn quality

RIP a well written show which due to having to get viewers to think, has been cancelled.

Awake was one of my favorites. Sad that it couldn’t find an audience.

Anyone know how many episodes were planned for this season, and how many we get to see.

I still plan to watch every episode they air.

Awake is a good show with a very fresh spin on the typical police procedural.Shame that a show that’s bringing something fresh to the scene can’t get more than one season to flourish.

I love awake ! I’m going to be highly upset if it goes away! I look forward tithe show every week

  • Jennarip

I hope awake ends with there being a third world where he is in a coma and his wife and son are both alive and he wakes up from the coma ! And they all live happily ever after

  • Alex

I loved Awake /: honestly Hulu mightve killed it, it was placed in a bad time slot, so a lot of people watched it online the next day, which is why there were like 0 viewers. So good, they made a mistake I think

DON’T CANCEL “AWAKE.” NEED SOMETHING INTELLIGENT PEOPLE CAN ENJOY.

It’s Confirmed! I’m from another planet. I hardly ever bother to watch TV because it is just too tedious to deal with usually lame acting, lousy scripts and those annoying….what do you call that thing where they script stuff in to spell everything out for people without brains (or fluid intelligence) to be able to gather a concept just by inference….well whatever that is. Finally we get something like AWAKE and they cancel it. RU FREAKEEEEEN KIDDING ME!!!!!!
A tinge of excitement for the week to watch that show and how they will develop it into a masterpiece (hopefully) and you rip it from the table??????? Nuts!!!!! Just Nuts!!!!!! I was actually able to tolerate that show because the premise was really intriguing, the actors had really good delivery, and the show had so many avenues for twists and turns to be entertaining.

I never really bothered to figure out how the whole network thing works or to participate in it because there was never really any tv that I bothered about. (It was for like mindless earthlings or something, but I began to wonder if I could fit in with them. I find a show that I can watch and fit in, and you yank it. sssssppppppphhhhhhh!!!!! WEll, I can safely delete any NBC from the DVR settings as you have absolutely nothing else worthy of watching!!!!)
I suppose since I never really bothered to participate in whatever it is that keeps a show on the air, I deserve having nothing worthy to watch. In fact, I have never even posted a comment about anything (or blogged or whatever) until just a day ago when I decided to say something about another network’s show; TOUCH, because I was so annoyed with it that I just had to say something. Lo and BEhold I see this; Awake cancelled. OH HANG IT UP!!!!!! ET phone home and when your friends get here, come by and pick me up. I’m ready to leave. JEEEEEZZZZZZZZ!

Woops! I’m sorry. I did not mean to post twice. Or did I? Maybe I just wanted both realities to be notified that I was peeved about Awake being cancelled.

Actually, it was just an accident. Sorry, but I’m new at this. I guess since I’m leaving the planet soon, it won’t happen again.

  • Bil Palmer

It would be ashame if you cancelled “Harry’s Law. A show for any age
    audience.

  • Kali

Why “Awake”? Decent acting, interesting plot lines, not another foolish reality show. They keep Jersey Shore, the Bachelor shows & the Kardashians. But not “Awake”. I think I’m cancelling watching network T.V. Goodbye cable & hello Netflix.

  • Minimme

    Awake :(

  • Mark

I agree with “Awake” fans. It should be picked up by TNT

  • TomW

chelsea handler had a brief moment of fame and now is just lingering on after that left some time ago. Her whole viewpoint is something that you get in one appearance and the rest is just her trying to push those same buttons. Went to see in her in a concertn and she was so loaded no one could understand what she was saying and walked out. The show is kinda of the same thing. The whole show is like look how cool we are and you better buy into that or you are not cool. Dunno, it really went bad in a hurry and is a surprise that it lasted this long.

    SAVE AWAKE!!!
