CW picked up five new dramas to series, a record for the CW. Arrow, Carrie Diaries. Cult, First Cut and Beauty And The Beast have all been ordered to series.

I’m surprised they didn’t pick up ‘The Selection’.
This isn’t good news for the Nikita fans that still think it’s going to be renewed.

TSC has a good shot at being renewed.

Carrie Diaries was such a dumb choice. But everything else is decent and different for the network. I hope this means The Selection is a no.
Even assuming a half final season in the Spring for GG, with ANTM in the Fall that means they can only renew *one* of their rookie shows for the Fall.
Edit: Or one more if one of these shows is held until Spring with GG.

Anyway, glad they picked up 5 new shows, hopefully for them something gets 1 consistently. Betting on Arrow and Cult
I’m glad for Arrow and Cult. I will check the other pilots for fun, I may also give B&B a shot, if it is really a more cop-procedural type show, not a fairytale story.
I think First Cut means less chances for HoD, and The Selection getting axed means more chances for TSC. Perhaps both will be renewed for 13 episodes each, who knows..
