Network to Air Grammy-Award Winning Singer’s First-Ever Network Special Featuring Exclusive Sit-down with Matt Lauer and Performances from “Adele Live at The Royal Albert Hall”
NEW YORK, NY – MAY 11, 2012 – NBC today announced “ADELE LIVE IN LONDON” with Matt Lauer, a one-hour special featuring eight-time Grammy Award winning artist, Adele, airing Sunday, June 3rd from 8-9 pm ET. In her first-ever network special, Adele sits down with Matt Lauer for an exclusive interview from London to recap the amazing year that followed the release of her sophomore album, “21.” The special also features, for the first time on network television, six performances from the singer’s “Adele Live at The Royal Albert Hall,” including hit songs “Someone Like You” and “Rolling in the Deep.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Adele on her first-ever network special and are excited to give our viewers an opportunity to see this truly phenomenal artist perform live, in her hometown, from the historic Royal Albert Hall in London,” said Doug Vaughan, SVP of Special Programs and Late Night for NBC.
“ADELE LIVE IN LONDON” is produced by Peacock Productions.

The hell NBC? This would have delivered a solid rating (by NBC’s current standards at least) in sweeps and it’s buried in June?
Cool, this will air long before I ever get the Royal Albert Hall concert dvd from Netflix (long wait in the queue). It’s on the same night IHMTD starts airing its burn-off episodes on Fox, unless that’s not going to happen any more.
I have the DVD of the concert already.
Most of it is on youtube.
Maybe NBC thinks this special will actually do better in June than it would during the May sweeps, since it might go up against reruns on all the other networks.

Anyone else tired of Adele? Good god, go away.
