Update: Last Man Standing has been renewed.

And now Private Practice and Body Of Proof (our only  big swing and miss of the season so far)  join Scandal in the renewal column. Private Practice for a sixth season, Body Of Proof for a 13 episode third season and Scandal for a second.

Also renewed for a second season: Don't Trust The B---- in Apt. 23.

GCB was canceled.

For those who need ABC confirmation that 'Pan Am,' 'Missing' and 'The River' are canceled, you have it.

No word on Last Man Standing  yet.

ABC has also picked up several new shows.

Yeah BOP definitley is a shocker. Im stunned. I liked it but i expected it was gone. Its just 13 eps or full season?

  • RidersDX

EXTREMELY happy week for me. Glad to see Grey’s, PP, Scandal, and OUAT are all coming back. And looks like it isn’t PP’s last season, unless ABC has yet to say it is.

  • BOPER

    YE OF LITTLE FAITH!!!!!

  • SteveO

Correct me if I’m wrong, but ABC is saving money by renewing B in Apt 23 right, because they already have 6 other episodes not airing this spring, that they can just package with season 2.

    Also, good ratings obviously.

  • rob60990

One won’t be too happy. ;)

  • EatMorePez

If you guys took joy in dancing on the grave of Harry’s Law, are you big enough to eat a plate of crow when it comes to Body of Proof?

  • Ultima

There’s going to be some crow eating over the Body of Proof renewal.

I’ll start – I didn’t think there was any chance it was coming back. Obviously, it wasn’t coming back instead of Private Practice (I was right there), but yeah, I said 0%, absolutely no chance.

    I was wrong.

I guess the lesson is to go with the rare procedural on a network full of serial dramas, regardless of ratings…

  • steve

    @John A reports are 13 eps

  • s0303

bop was biggest shock to me…nikita is on a friday, don’t know why that counts for something other than on cw? it’s just a little lower than many of the cw’s other shows on better nights…

  • SteveO

You should probably “feature” this article on the front page, it will get you the most traffic ;)

  • Tim

How can they justify Body of Proof?

  • Lisa

I’m surprised but happy about Body of Proof. I like Dana Delany a lot, and the rest of the cast is also good. It’s the only procedural I watch on a regular basis. The Private Practice renewal is also good news.

  • Survivor Fan

    I had:
    Nikita- Certain Cancellation (<5% chance)
    BoP- Bubble (45% chance)

Nikita surprised me a lot more.

  • MoHasanie

Great for PP fans. And fantastic news for BOP fans. I’m glad ABC is giving there shows final seasons.

  • Meliwa

So, it just goes to prove that Dana Delaney is smarter than the average Cancellation Bear.

@Pez: I am, I noted the big swing and miss. I can’t speak for Bill (who’s probably eating dinner with his family now rather than crow), but I’m going to take a day or two to digest. But I’ll say that from a “rock my world” perspective, Body of Proof’s renewal doesn’t really bother me. I can come up with several rational reasons why it was renewed despite our prediction and think of one or two ways to improve how we look at things to account for that in future years.

If Harry’s Law had been renewed I wouldn’t have been able (and I tried in advance, just in case!) to come up with any rational reason for it, and I probably just would’ve hid under a rock for a while.

  • Penny

Can’t believe ABC passed on Devious Maids, it had such a great cast.

  • SteveO

And who knows, maybe BoP will do better next year and get a full season?

  • Dan

BOP wins the award for the biggest shock renewal of the season after Bill and Robert understandably called it to be cancelled week after week. The reason I believe BOP is a bigger shock than Nikita and Fringe is because Fringe always had the “final season” and syndication going for it and even Nikita has 2 more seasons to go. Body of proof has 31 episodes and everyone only thought it got additional episodes to stretch out the season.

  • psychic

BoP will die next season. I’m feeling it.
