Update: Last Man Standing has been renewed.

And now Private Practice and Body Of Proof (our only  big swing and miss of the season so far)  join Scandal in the renewal column. Private Practice for a sixth season, Body Of Proof for a 13 episode third season and Scandal for a second.

Also renewed for a second season: Don't Trust The B---- in Apt. 23.

GCB was canceled.

For those who need ABC confirmation that 'Pan Am,' 'Missing' and 'The River' are canceled, you have it.

No word on Last Man Standing  yet.

ABC has also picked up several new shows.

Seriously – I expected more crow eating from Bill and Robert since they both gave BOP no chance of coming back – I was hoping you would be wrong and you were and I remember the harsh words you had for BOP fans on this site — so suck it up and issue a mea culpa.

  • Kissan

Why didn’t they renew LMS yet????

  • SJ

I’m glad for Private Practice and really, really glad for Body of Proof. I guess it’s the combination of the March/April uptick, good international sales/low domestic production costs and, let’s be realistic, a bad (horrible?) batch of pilots. Either way, I’m not complaining.

Anyway, Gossip Girl, Fringe, 30 Rock, Private Practice – that makes four shows that are definitely ending next season. One for each network, except CBS, which doesn’t usually announce final seasons.

  • Andrea

    Robert,

Not sure, but do you two ever do an autopsy report? I’d love to hear your opinions on shows you predicted renewed or canceled, and got horribly wrong, either way, and what could *possibly* be behind the network decisions…

    What?! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW DARE ABC RENEW BODY OF PROOF! AMERICA ALREADY PROVED THEY HATE FEMALE HORATIO CAINE! IT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE! ALL THE STATISTICS SAID IT WOULD BE CANCELED!

    GOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • psychic

    Missing wasn’t a keeper, anyway…
And where were they even going to GO with The River? It stopped being scary shortly after the evil walnut in episode 1.

  • Bookworm

    Body of Proof!! NO WAY!!!

I’m going crazy here. Where is Katelyn? Seriously, she called it.

    One:
…female Horatio Caine? Where’s the sunglasses?

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Robert Seidman

@Andrea, I imagine there will be a post mortem or two where BoP is concerned.

  • One @ psychic

I wasn’t aware The River ever was scary…unless you mean scary stupid!

  • SteveO

Yay Malibu Country was picked up by ABC! Good schedule next year it seems. Does that make LMS renewal chances higher or lower?

  • Jenny

I read Body Of Proof was renewed by ABC, because the company that makes Body Of Proof is part of ABC & Disney, so they worked out some kind of special deal.

    One:
    The acting was scary.

  • Survivor Fan

    @SteveO
Much higher- another multi-cam to pair with it

  • One @ Robert Seidman and Bill Gorman

Does that include this site, for somehow finding a replacement for Til Death in terms of obvious calls that were inexplicably DEAD WRONG?!

  • Mike

So happy private practice was renewed praise god I was worry

  • Nick

    @Dan and Survivor Fan

Scandal can be considered as (sort of) a procedural, even though Olivia Pope’s team doesn’t hunt bad guys.
    (I dont even like it ;-) )

In response to “Female Horatio Caine”:

Philly wasn’t sunny enough. But there were enough one-liners to last a Narm addict a lifetime.

    In response to “The River”:

As in, the acting was scary bad?

  • Stephen judson

Body of proof is better as a Mid season show

  • psychic

    One:
    Yes and yes.
