Update: Last Man Standing has been renewed.

And now Private Practice and Body of Proof (our only  big swing and miss of the season so far)  join Scandal in the renewal column. Private Practice for a sixth season, Body of Proof for a 13 episode third season and Scandal for a second.

Also renewed for a second season: Don't Trust the B---- in Apt. 23.

GCB was canceled.

For those who need ABC confirmation that 'Pan Am,' 'Missing' and 'The River' are canceled, you have it.

No word on Last Man Standing  yet.

ABC has also picked up several new shows.

@Survival Fan, yeah Castle got a third season 2 years ago and Private Practice before Castle but there was little hope that BOP would get the same treatment since it was the lone drama from 2010-2011 to be renewed for a second

There are lies, damn lies, and statistics…. LOL

Malibu Country is the only traditional sitcom I’m looking forward to, as I’ve enjoyed The WB’s Reba back in the day.

Mistresses had already been picked up straight to series several months ago, but was targeted for summer 2013. Did they move it up to regular season now? Like I said, a horrible, horrible development season must have befallen ABC.

A renewal that will join the likes of Dollhouse in TVBTN h*ll. :-D

It seems Castle, Revenge, OUAT, and Greys will remain in their current slots while Private Practice may get 10pm sunday or midseason. The only surprise to me is GCB being axed which is understandable because it was 50/50 and BOP being renewed which shocks Robert and Bill.

    Please keep Castle on Mondays.

Body of Proof is back…best day ever!!! Boppers rule

I knew BOP was coming back. Lousy demo but had a lot of total viewers. One of the few network shows I watched.

There’s a rumor on some boards that Revenge is being held for midseason where it’ll air repeat-free

Bill and Robert once again had more than 90% of correct predictions, if not 95%. Congrats and thank you guys. Who cares for random miss like Body of Proof.

Meanwhile, ABC made some shocking decisions, not only regarding BoP (poor written, poor acted and almost not watched show). They renewed Scandal over GCB, passed on Prairie Dogs and Devious Maids, it seems they won’t pick Americana too. Yet ABC picked some more than obvious flops like Zero Hour and Red Widow (Penoza) and (at least) underwhelming new comedies. If they also pass on Reba’s Malibu County, that might be called the biggest shock of all – then again, we can call it pattern of deviant behavior. And it comes on heels of season when it seemed they’re finally turning things around with Once Upon a Time being hit and some other new shows doing good (Apt 23, Suburgatory, Revenge, LMS). Perhaps they nabbed those by accident.

Finally one of my long shot picks pays off … Dana, Poppy, Christina and I will miss Kathy at the bear roast. I say Christina because I haven’t seen any word other than the above that her seat reservation has been revoked.

Also no word yet on UFO or Tales of the Gold Monkey? I’m shocked.

Help save Endgame and watch season 1 on Hulu, also watch Craig Ferguson in Scotland next week

This might not be PP’s last season since ABC hasn’t said it is. I mean it doesn’t have to be. The fans were worried about its fate so all we were talking about is a last season would be good enough but ABC hasn’t spoken ’bout it yet. We should wait for the episodes order, it’s too soon to tell anything…

  • Survivor Fan

I would be very surprised if that is true. ABC would not want to prohibit growth for what could be a solid player for several years.

Things worked out well for ABC this year. They got 2 surprise hits, (Revenge and OUAT) Several good returning dramas, (Grey’s, Castle, BOP, and PP (which will get a well deserved final season) several good returning comedies, (Modern Family, The Middle, Happy Endings) as well as 2 new comedies Suburgatory, Apartment 23 and Last Man Standing (Likely to return). Even with the departure of Desperate Housewives, ABC went from having nothing last season to having some well established dramas. ABC had some misses this year with Charlies Angles, Pan Am, Man Up, Work It, Missing, The River and GCB but thats understandable. The best part is, even though ABC axed Cougar Town it gets to air on TBS.

ABC may not be doing as horrible as they were this time last year.

Why no word on LMS yet??!!

If it gets canceled I’m gonna be pissed!

  • Dan

Last year Friday May 13 was an ABC slaughterhouse, this year it was a renewal paradise.

  • Ultima

Is it just me or is there like 30 comedies being picked up for next year?

So far 14 comedies have been picked up by the big four broadcast networks. Last year a total of 16 were picked up. Obviously, since CBS hasn’t picked anything up yet, there will be more than last year, but nothing extreme considering that multiple networks will be expanding their comedy hours.

  • Dan

Last Man Standing should get renewed soon. I expect it to be paired with another multi cam series.

I wouldn’t worry. From the sound of things, the renewal is imminent, they’re just finalizing the details.
