Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

POI up a little, but up :D

  • Max…Not the “Scandal” Max

@Max clearly is as stoned as Intensity! I love Shonda and all, but a 2.0 (surely 1.9 as usual) with the monster lead in of GA isn’t what I call a HIT. Deal with it you troll…
Glad for Revenge renewal! The real powerhouse at 10 PM!!!

  • Ultima

    @Justin
Idol yet to fall below 4.0 as it will likely adjust up in the finals.

The results show had a 3.9 the first week of April.

It’s been extremely stable since though, with this likely the fourth straight 4.0, despite declining ratings for the performance shows.

  • Jetfire

CW…the problem isn’t with the shows…TSC, TVD and even Ringer are great…the network sucks…plain and simple. ;)

  • OMG

Beware Wednesday or Thursday ratings release, Max is definitely on board to kick Revenge down. Beware the wrath of Revenge fans, we will take revenge on you if you continue like this (ok, very cliched, but you deserve revenge seriously).

No use trying to reason. I tried too many times, it’s fixed in Max’s head that Scandal is the best show. Well Revenge may not be a hit, but Scandal is definitely a miss. I am on full revenge mode, so now I will never watch Scandal, and somehow pray that Scandal will be cancelled in favour of GCB (please please). To be honest, I thought GCB’s ratings situation might be equal or better than that of Scandal to begin with. That is what Scandal should be fighting for now.

  • atlanta

Boy, did FOX make a mistake in moving Bones from Thursday night. The worst it got last year after Idol was a 2.8 and all other nights were in the 3.0+. Yes I understand the need to launch new shows but I cant imagine the advertisers are thrilled with consistent 2.0 demos. jmo

  • zerg

Final Rating based on Tweets LOL nice

  • SJ

That Parks and Rec finale was so beautifully done. What is taking NBC so long to renew it?

Grey’s Anatomy is doing better this spring than last. Too bad ABC put a show that can’t take advantage of it at 10pm.

And wow, Vampire Diaries will actually beat Missing in the finals. The Secret Circle is dead.

  • Chuck_T

The Office finale, I thought, was awful. The show should be put out to pasture after this season to make room for Rainn Wilson’s spin-off. Hopefully it will only get a 13 episode order, too (The Office). When Steve C left the heart, soul and most of the comedy left, too.

On the other hand, I thought P&R was very good, and consider it the best comedy of the night.

  • fra

TVD like usual will be adjusted UP,a 1.2 and this is not bad at all. The month of May this year is deadly… and ok the result it’s down 2 tenths from last year, but with all the haitus that TVD faced, it’s normal.
4X01 will get at least a 1.4, with the HUGE cliffhanger of the season finale, people who didn’t watch it live will surely watch the premierè. I’m quite certain, because it’s really important for the development of the series. So TVD is still STRONG.
TSC did badly.. another 0.5?! Cancellation is COMING

  • Hades

Well if the CW do pair SPN with Arrow and not on Friday then maybe the CW could just dump Nikita, Ringer, GG and TSC on Fridays with 13 episodes each?

  • Tony ^_^

Lol… Missing gets a 1.1 demo and 6.4 million viewers. ABC might as well renew Scandal. It’s been pretty steady. The only problem would be where to schedule it. It might collapse in the demo if it’s moved to another night without a Grey’s Anatomy lead-in…

It would be bad news if The Secret Circle was adjusted down to a 0.4! :o

I thought the Big Bang Theory finale would at least break a 5.0…

    Idol will be adjusted up.

The Office failed to impress. And I guess Awake didn’t fall lower… Below 2 million viewers…

  • LisaM

Weddings aren’t a big draw anymore. Howard and Bernadette’s wedding actually went through, and I liked the end with the friends watching Howard’s shot into space. I thougth it would have done better.

  • s0303

tvd was so good last night…hope it gets adjusted up…

i predict a renewal for tsc…i’ve never seen it, but it’s ratings overall have been better than most of the cw shows…

  • Bee

wow what an unimpressive night. dear networks: PLEASE premiere your best shows in the fall. january/february at the latest. spring is now deadlier than ever.

no bump for the vampire diaries? really!? these last few weeks have been excellent and the finale last night was truly unbelievable. it deserves much higher.

GO GREY’S AND SCANDAL! :) scandal will adjust down and the haters will come out, but whatever. the show is AMAZING and it would still only be a tenth or two under the premiere numbers. the show, like revenge, is just waiting to explode because the reception for both has been so fantastic. ABC just needs to really find a way to spread the word on both shows over the summer. and putting the seasons online will not be doing much.

also, why does the cast of scandal not do any promotional appearences? i’ve only seen kerry promote the show and she was on the view once. the casts of revenge, once upon a time, and especially GCB are all over the talk show circuit promoting. even PP and grey’s have people promoting!

and grey’s was 0.2 higher than this same episode last season!!!! WOO! excellent episode and THE FINALE PROMO. OMG. it looks amazing and the show will do big numbers next week. damn, it would be HUGE if it was 2-hour finale. i wouldn’t be surprised to see it shoot up to a 4.0 or above.

  • Bookworm

    @Max,

Yes, Scandal was just everything you ever wanted in TV. It made me feel every emotion in the book. From Anger with Billy to sadness with Liv/Fitz couple. It really is just a great show and that love scene was so hot but not tasteless. Kerry and Tony are just great together; I’ve never seen anything like it.

I hope the Finale brings in big numbers. I do believe that it is a huge episode for Scandal as the Amanda story is closing up and Fitz is going to have all of his dirty secrets out.

I don’t dislike Revenge but I do envy its ad’s. LOL Its gotten a little more hype and spotlight than I would like and the Hamptons cliche of doing the “little man” dirty is kind of old but Revenge makes it look sweet; Its the adults “Gossip Girl” with less stupid stuff/couples. Scandal though makes Revenge look like “Yo Gabba Gabba”. Its twist and turns are just perfect and you really don’t know who is what and what is who.

  • Justin121

Ignore @Max. He’s just here to stir up trouble.

Revenge fans didn’t engage in those silly fights all season. We’re not about to now.

    REVENGE fans >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> max

    IGNORE

  • KS

I didn’t find this season of Big Bang Theory as interesting as 3rd and 4th. No wonder, finale’s down.

    Secret Circle is obviously dead.

Touch is not a huge hit as expected.

  • MoHasanie

    @Max

Well ofcourse Scandal will hit a 2.3 next week with a lead of 4.0+ from Grey’s! If it gets below 2.3, and Grey’s gets high 3′s or low 4′s for its finale, then Scandal is a loser.

  • Burr

BBT was good – not great – but good. Sheldon had best line of the night, do you need aloe? still laughing.

Office is just very disappointing this year. Maybe getting James Spader out will help next year. (Robert is just too wierd and creepy even for this show, I can’t figure out half of what he means.)

Anyway, tried to watch the mentalist since nothing else was on – what a snoozefest.
