    I have to laugh at all the doom & gloom sayers from the last year going on and on about how the show will crash and burn w/o Sheen … numbers don’t lie (it’s just the people who twist them to suit their own agendas that lie) and it’s clear the public thinks Ashton is better than the train wreck that was Sheen his last two seasons on the show.

    The first couple of seasons are head ‘n shoulders above the rest of the seasons (especially 7&8) but it still has it’s moments. For those that hate the show, think it’s the worst ever well … #1 get a grip, there have been lots of shows that are far, Far, FAR worse and #2 don’t watch. Take yer hands outa yer pants and use the remote to change the channel.

    YMMV

    Help save Endgame and watch season 1 on Hulu, also watch Craig Ferguson in Scotland next week

    Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite show EVER (alongside Frasier).

  • dazzag

    glad its been renewed it didnt start out that well but has got better over the season hope it continues to get better

  • CJ

    Finally! :D And Hustis Harper – there’s no need for that.

  • 2134

    It was always a no brainer decision but the announcement was probably delayed as they had get the actors to sign new deals.

  • William Haney

    It has lost some luster. Charlie Sheen made it successful because his character was pretty much him. I like Ashton but it is him playing a character. Jon Cryer is fantastic this year but how much more can you dump on a character like his. It got down right depressing all the things happening to him. So when he got all the attention, his character milked it. After all the crap he got all year, why not. Cryer should get some Emmy hardware again as he took the load. It was disappointing this year in that they could have done more with the Jake character other than be a stoner pot head and the girlfriends are just so mean spirited. Especially toward Cryer’s Alan character. I hope they are nicer to Jon off the set than they are to his character. Plus I thought I was trading messages with Chuck Lorre on facebook only to find out it was a poser. Bitter pill.

    I like the show but it has some tweaking to do. I would have Jake, somehow, get in at a UCLA or USC, have a couple ladyfriends and have those college adventures. Berta all but fell off the show pretty much. They could almost do a spinoff with her and her cooky family (attn: Les Moonves). Finally, how about crossover episodes with the other Chuck Lorre juggernaut shows? Start a storyline on Men, then go to Mike and Molly, then finish on Big Bang? I had one storyline but Sheen is no longer involved. Sorry for the rant,I am glad it is back next year but this is a case of apples and oranges. Just please, cut the Alan character some slack!!!

    @Hustis Harper

    “Even though I can’t stand it, I think it’s good that dumb people have a show they can enjoy.”

    Thank you. Society more or less lets people dump on us idiots, but we should be able to have stuff we like, too.

  • Restless

    I agree, William Haney. Ashton doesn’t really do much, it’s all on Cryer. And yes, Jake needs a serious rewrite and it would be nice to see more Berta. Or more Kathy Bates, she was excellent as Charlie.

    And if it makes you feel better, I laughed at your Chuck Lorre woes. :P So some good came out of it.

    DUH LOSING

  • ItsI

    Bring back Charlie Sheen, Asthon sucks and last season was aweful.

  • s0303

    although i don’t like this show (no matter who stars in it), it would be dumb of cbs to cancel a show with these kind of ratings…

  • mattlsax

    I don’t understand people, if you don’t like the show, then don’t watch it. It is that simple. If you don’t like Ashton, don’t watch the show. If you think it is the worst ever, watch something else. Why would you care if it gets renewed or canceled if you don’t like it??

  • EatMorePez

    @SherLOCKED (The Mighty Cringe)

    Every single show on TV would love to get to a 10th season and be going down hill at that point. (And no, I don’t watch TAAHM.)

  • EatMorePez

    @mattlsax

    Because that’s what the internet is for: irrational rants by people who don’t excel in the thinking department.

  • The End

    This would of been renewed months ago, for the record.

  • The End

    Ah just realised I kinda ended that abruptly, just meant had the contract stuff not taken so long, it would of been renewed quickly, CBS certainly wanted to renew ASAP.

  • Hustis Harper

    @CJ Sorry, I should have said “the easily amused”. :)

  • D

    Duh Winning

  • Ashton Sucks

    Who cares about Men anymore its all about Sheen in Anger Management in late June.

    WINNING!

  • Jadon

    “significant year to year growth”?

    pfft.

    Yeah only because of the few high rated episodes at the beginning.
    The majority of the season was lower than it’s ever been
