The ladies of Wisteria Lane say goodbye to television tonight in the series finale of Desperate Housewives. While now only a shadow of its formerly beastly adults 18-49-rated self, ABC is still likely to miss it. Only three ABC scripted shows outperformed it this season with adults 18-49 -- Once Upon A Time, Grey's Anatomy and Modern Family.
How will it do with adults 18-49 in its finale?
OUaT -12 mill 3.4/3.6
DH 9pm – 13 mill 3.5/3.6
DH 10pm – 15 mill 3.7/3.8

Actually Lost attached 15m viewers and 6.4 18-49 in the finale so not bad at all. Sadly I don’t think DH can pull that off or even close

Although I’m hoping for a 3.4 for the first hour, and a 3.8 for the second, I think I’m being too optimistic.
Another factor that will hurt it, is that its Mothers Day today, and in previous seasons, ratings have always fallen on Mothers Day.
the dream scenario would be OUAT getting a 3.5 and DH a 4.0. but a 4.0 seems like a huge jump so i guess around a 3.5 would be good as well.

Agree completely. Go Survivor! I really hope that Survivor does not have its first sub 4.0 finale.

That 15 million and 6.4 A18-49 rating you mentioned was just for the last half-hour of Lost. The episode averaged a 5.8 and 13.5 million over its 2.5 hours.
DH will probably see a modest bump, but I doubt it’ll get to a 4.0. I went with 3.0-3.4 in the poll. Hope the fans get a satisfying ending!

I do think that Survivor will hit less than 4.0 this finale. For the most of the season it had been averaging less than a 3.0. Previously they have all been above 3.0.
so sad gonna miss my Housewives on Sunday nights, It really does not matter what the rating is, its not like it will be back in the fall!
Once Upon A Time, 30 million people tune in to DH, and 50 million people tuned in for Survivor. I like DH, OUAT, and Survivor. But if I have to choose I will watch ABC, may be go to CBS during breaks or when they announce the winner.
A 3.0-3.4 seems most likely but hopefully higher. It’s the right time to end the show but quite sad all the same, let’s hope the writers have done a good job.
I think people stopped caring 2 years ago and this will not do any better than usual for this year. Below 2.7
I think a 3.0-3.4 is most realistic. We were invested in how the mystery of the island would be wrapped up on LOST as much as we were in what happened next to the characters. By comparison, DH hasn’t had a good mystery since the first season. Imo, this show has outstayed its welcome by a couple of years and Survivor will easily beat it both in Households and the 18-49 demo.
