Update 2: And now official that CSI: NY has been renewed.

Update: It's official, CBS has canceled CSI: Miami. CBS said in a statement:

CSI: Miami leaves an amazing television legacy – a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS’s rise to the top over the past decade. We thank all the producers – led by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ann Donahue — and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons. Viewers around the world will continue to enjoy rebroadcasts of “CSI: Miami” in syndication and on key digital platforms for many years to come.”

related: NYC 22, Unforgettable and Rob all canceled.

original post:

The Big Apple triumphed over the sunglasses according to TV Guide's sources.  We figured CBS would part with at least one of CSI: Miami and CSI: NY, but due to lack of information on the economics (particularly international and syndication) we were never crystal clear on which would stay and which would go and gave a slight edge to CSI: Miami.  But according to the report CBS will announce it has renewed CSI: NY and canceled CSI: Miami.

    Is CBS studios still making money off CSI Miami?
    If so i can see a possible pick up from another network

  • Zach

    There must be elements of cost that we don’t know about going into this decision. It is shocking that they will let Miami go, especially after a shortened season with a finale that left so much to be desired. I like CSI: NY too, but I think CBS got this one way wrong.

  • Nightfoxx

    I hope this is a dream and i wake up soon…

  • The Mike Factor

    I’m shocked.

    @Chaz
    NBC is supposed to annouce their schedule about 1:45PM EDT today.

  • SmG

    CBS has cancelled Unforgettable

    -SpTV

  • disney rocks

    Hope they do like a lsat-minute 8 episode final season pick up. Ai half of it over the holidays and the other half in March. It doesn’t have to end like this!

    Stupid CBS!

  • Dennis

    Can Miami move to a other channel???

  • Dodge_hickey

    Woah! I did not see that coming, cant say that I am not happy….CSI NY is the superior one!

  • H8R

    Why??
    If I were incharge of CBS I Would have cancelled NY

  • CrimTV

    Lol, the UK broadcaster of Unforgettable (Sky Living) can’t catch a break.

    They aired The Secret Circle, Ringer and Unforgettable and all are cancelled.

  • Zach

    I hope there is a chance the show gets to air something more, on whatever platform. 10 years fans grew to love and watch this show and we are left with the season 10 finale, that hardly seems right. CBS really dropping the ball. They could finish the season with a short episode run, but instead leave the fa-base with nothing…disappointing

  • bluejays

    Wow. I am shocked about this. Thought NY would be a goner for sure! Is it def that NY is renewed or just def that Miami is gone?

  • cheryl m

    I think csi ny thought it was gone too but im glad its staying

  • LivingProof

    @CrimTV

    @Al

    Csi Miami was the only show on all the network to incresa it rating from the crap lead in the good wife got.

    How many times must we reiterate that retention doesn’t matter until some people realize it’s actually true?

    …was the leading factor in killing brothers and sisters, pan am and gcb.

    :lol: What?

    And finally if this it the end thank you very much David caruso for givvng television the best tv drama on either network and cable

    OK, now I get it – you’re just trolling.

  • Tessa

    Wow, this means the ENTIRE Friday lineup stays intact next season. So many shows cancelled this week, yet ALL Friday night shows on all networks are renewed. Maybe being on the crappiest night of the week isn’t that bad after all.

  • Matt

    Sky Living made bad choices when choosing shows, but to be honest, their demographic doesn’t go for the stuff they’re airing, it’s more Top Model, dating shows and the odd procedural (Bones, CM)

  • toadytoady

    CSI Miami was the best of the three.
    Caruso played his role with great irony,almost like a fable.He sort of grew into that role and i enjoyed watching that.
    It had an intelligence the others didnt have.

  • Bree

    Sad for CSI:Miami, but great for us CSI:NY fans. Please let it be true!
