For the twelve people who care: NBC has canceled unscripted series 'The Marriage Ref,' 'Fear Factor,' 'Minute To Win It,' Who Do You Think You Are?' and 'The Sing Off.'
SHOCKED Fear Factor got cancelled… Stupid NBC it was doing 2.0′s during it’s Monday run… There’s a reason why NBC is in the toilet. Stupid Decisions.
I don’t care…Most of their shows suck! Have you guys seen theior new shows.
FF doesnt deserve to be canceled but at the same time it deserves for a show who used to get 12 mill a episode !and WSS Stays NBC i hope you guys have a whole new line up of unscripted!
Shocked about minute to win it, that’s been on for awhile.
Why did you cancel Fear Factor AGAIN!! No wonder NBC struggles.. They take the shows that people actually like to watch (Fear Factor, Who do you think you are, etc) off the air to put on shows such as Smash that are such a waste of time. I’ve tried on numerous occasions to watch Smash and you just can’t get into it. It’s all over the place. Please take this stupid show off and bring back shows that people actually like to watch!! Did you ever consider the possibility that the over the top stunts on Fear Factor is what makes people watch it!! Come on NBC .. Every night you hear Leno make fun of NBC’s ratings.. The way I see it, NBC is it’s own worst enemy by removing good shows only to replace them with crap.!!
“Minute to Win It” wasn’t cancelled like a year ago? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAA? Never seemed like it rated all that well, but the pacing may have had something to do with that – I’ve seen molasses move faster than some games of M2WI.
Also, if they weren’t going to gave “Fear Factor” a fair shot, they shouldn’t have brought it back in the first place.
I’m confused. They are going to have Minute to Win It toys at Wendy’s next month. I assumed they were going to air the show in the summer.
What’s with Who’s Still Standing (the game show that had he Taxi driver as the host)? However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they cancelled it because that guy is a totally jerk.
PBS already has a show like Who Do You Think You Are – it’s called Finding your Roots – which is a much better name— and the show has huge names and stars that they feature.
I think they meant to say “Who’s Still Standing?” instead of “Minute to Win It”.
I honestly can say I don’t think I will miss any of these shows. I forgot a few of them even existed.
Really, bummed out about WDYTYA (seriously). We are both working on our family trees – hubby is BIG TIME – and it was nice (sometimes sad) to a show like this on tv. Well, the season finale is on Friday with Paula Deen, looks to be quite interesting. It was a surprise that we had a 3rd season. I’m not one of those to say x- cable network should pick it up, but there are a few that come to mind… Sing Off was ok (we watched this whole last season) – not surprised. I LOVED Fear Factor from back in the day and thought it a miracle that it was back and… GONE – although, really? Donkey Semen?! I half expected them to come back after the chaos subsided. Oh well. As for Minute – never watched it, but it sucks for those who did. What’s interesting to me is I think that the extreme differences shows the identity crisis and the irony that Who Do You Think You Are is the name of a show on NBC is not lost on me.
The music on “The Sing Off” was better than that on Idol, XFactor, or the Voice.
I’m really disappointed they canceled Who Do You Think You Are.
The Sing-Off was a great show. The problem was it had no marketing done whatsoever. So, people didn’t know what it was. I think it would work well as a summer show tho!
I loved the show “Who Do You Think You Are?” I think the interest in genealogy is increasing. I’m very
disappointed this was canceled.
I loved The Sing-off and will miss it… It was a wonderful show
I really liked WDYTYA, and the ratings weren’t all that bad by NBC standards for a Friday night. That’s a shame, I hope it finds another venue.
Seriously, NBC? You cancel The Sing-Off, the only show that I even remotely care about on your network? The one show that gets people who otherwise totally shun TV? Nice going. Bye-bye…
I really enjoyed Who do you think you are. I am very interested in any genealogy program that highlights thoughts and angles that I can then use to try and find my own ancestors. PLEASE bring back the show. There are plenty of “dumb” shows out there and yet you cancel the good ones.
