Definitions:
DVR (Time-shifted) Adults 18-49 Ratings – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs.
Live+Same Day(Live+SD) ratings include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing.
Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
DVR Ratings Increase Past Airdate - How many people watched the show on their DVRs within 7 days following the airdate
Until the 2009-2010 season, we used a show's LIVE program rating or viewership as the base upon which the LIVE+7 day DVR viewing was added. Now, the press seems to be standardizing around using LIVE+SAME DAY DVR viewing as the base for the calculations, so that's what we do now as well.

Somewhat not relevant. But yay for Revenge anyway.
Like others, I only watch sports live. It’s been that way for over 5 years for me. Heck, a lot of my viewing doesn’t even fall into the +7 category. More like +70 or so sometimes. When I get behind on a show, I’ll often just let it accumulate and then catch up all at once over a few days.
“whoever Maggie Q is f**king right now, she’s f**king him for nothing.”
Was that statement really necessary?
wow cw is so retarded its not even funny.
Secret Circle has seriously decent ratings for cw standards and since its cancellation; fans have been working hard to save it. They are writing on ABC Family’s facebook wall for them to consider picking the show up.
It’ll actually be a good fit for that network.
I was told at this time of year, it’s baseball season and a lot of people want to be out side. That is why they use there DVR is so they can watch there shows when they come home or save it for another day.
@A and others
The Secret Circle and Ringer were shows the CW put all its hopes on, spent most its money on, and expected the most from. TSC was supposed to be their next Vampire Diaries and for that reason it was given the best time slot and the highest promotion (along with Ringer.) If we compare the network to a company they were the VPs while Nikita and HoD were say, the janitors. If a janitor underperforms you reprimand them but don’t necessarily fire them. However if a VP underperforms and costs the company millions you can be sure as hell they get fired. That is what happened to Circle and Ringer. They were propped up, promoted, pampered and padded, yet they did the same work, or worse, than the their lowly, neglected brethrens so they were the ones kicked out the door.
@Jack I’m in the exact same boat as you. College + too many TV shows to follow requires the use of a DVR with a very large storage capacity
No, people cannot watch FRINGE live. It has alot to do with Quantum Mechanics. And time shifting of atomic particles.
Well when CSI and SVU are on at the same time. You can’t watch live! If you work and a show you like is on at the same time you are working you can’t watch Live! I try and watch my tv shows live (and tape them as I watch if I really like the show) but sometimes I just can’t. I had to shift my schedule to watch Chuck live and that was only for 13 episodes. I can’t and won’t do it for anything less. Seriously, with so many choices and shows on cable and broadcast competing against each other sometimes you can’t watch live!
PEOPLE HAVE SEVERAL SHOWS THAT OVERLAP. OR THEYRE NOT ABLE TO WATCH THEIR SHOWS WHEN THEY COME ON. I SAY BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.
I’m 14 and I watch 15 shows!

15. Hart of Dixie

@H8R
I agree with 99% of your thing only my #1 would be Are You There Chlesea
@Sid
He could of just mentioned that most of Nikitas fanbase watch live. Very few Nielsen households are using their DVR for the show, quite a loyal but small fanbase there.
What about international fanbase,hah?
Someone asked earlier about Modern Family not being on the list. The same could be said for Criminal Minds and several others that are usually on this list. That is the problem with the list (not that it wrong or anything, but repeats shows do not appear). So since both Modern Family and Criminal Minds were repeats, they would not appear on this list. (2 shows I love so I have to DVR one of them.)
Curious, the big bump Bones is getting from delayed viewing. Seems to confirm that many Bones fans are being pulled in several directions on Mondays with the competition from Voice and DWTS.
Good for Supernatural getting that 1.1
“whoever Maggie Q is f**king right now, she’s f**king him for nothing.”
Wow so TSC fans have reached a new low. And yet you ask the Nikita fandom for help saving your show?
TSC fans are delusional if they think they would have kept that cushy post TVD spot next season. They cry that Nikita or HOD would be getting 3′s next season but TSC is such a special show it is going to defy those odds? LOL.
sabrina,
boo hoo.
