Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

After the Cancallation of Harry’s Low 25 % up! Wow!

  • danny94

Desprate housewives may fallen through the years and the finale ratings arnt huge, but desperate housewives was a world wide phenomeon…. it may be gone but it will never be forgotten and not many tv shows can say that!!!

  • Remote Patrolled

ABC should have ended Desperate Housewives one – or even two – seasons ago.

They allowed a once great show to really go out with a whimper

  • Harris

OUAT is an unstoppable beast. I can’t wait for the new season!

  • SteveO

Hoping all the returning ABC shows get 24 episodes next year (at least OUAT and Revenge).

  • Hank Ill

    Time to renew Harry’s Law.

  • salim

that means that dh held all of ouat’s a18-49 demo, good for them.so sad to see it go

  • Fed

CBS should take notes and never have such a dull cast. It was a snooze-fest all season. They have to cast people who actually wants to play the game. I honestly tought that only 3 people played and cared about the victory. Good ridence and i hope Survivor rebounds next season. Maybe the finale with the DVR ratings could crack 3.5

  • JoeyDavid.com

I wasn’t too crazy about the DH finale. Just like this season it was just dry and lost it’s spark..hence the declining ratings.

  • Jay

Sad to see the days of the epic series finale, from a ratings standpoint, are over

  • The Real Original Ray

How many of those extra Harry’s Law viewers were bears?

  • JoeyDavid.com

Only on NBC would they keep The Celebrity Apprentice on at 5 million viewers. Those numbers are low.

  • MoHasanie

So overall not what I was expecting for the night. I was predicting mid to high 3’s for both the DH and Survivor finale.

  • Raykov

ABC, kudos. EPIC Once Upon A Time season finale. EPIC^2 Desperate Housewives series finale. Gonna miss you, DH :]

  • psychic

    Lol Survivor. Great for OUAT!

  • HotLatino4GayMarriage

@danny so true! How many shows were the #1 show WORLDWIDE ? Not many and DH belongs to that exclusve group.

  • KS

4.0 in premiere to 3.2 in finale. I guess by the next season finale it would do around 2.1-2.4.

This show getting much more than what it really deserves. I would suggest the writers of this show to take classes from Eric Kripke before writing anymore about “True Love” rather than giving us the weirdest finales on televsion like last nights.

  • Jr35

Decent numbers for the DH finale. Also for OUAT.

  • OMG

I think the finales airing against each other on Mother’s Day really pulled ratings down. Remember the 13.4 rating and 30 million for DH’s 1st season finale and 50 million for Survivor’s first season finale? What a far cry.

Not too surprised at DH’s numbers, but quite surprised at Survivor’s numbers since they normally jump by almost a full rating point for their finales. Oh well, it is good to see scripted shows (and furthermore, dramas) beat unscripted shows, though I love Survivor too. I guess they need to make it one cycle each season, and do the same for TAR too. These reality shows are spread too thin. It may have taken 12 years, but they have finally been spread too thin, and it’s time to change that.
