The crazy fans will note that I "pushed" on a prediction for Fringe this season with it as a "toss up" for renewal or cancellation all season. As I noted elsewhere, no guts, no glory, but apparently all the whining from fans!
Otherwise, I predicted all the Fox renewals and cancellations correctly this season, most far in advance.
With that the Index bids the 2011-12 Fox season adieu, there will be no more Fox Renew / Cancel posts until September. Happy summer Fox!

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

We love The Finder…why do they keep stupid shows like I hate my teenaged daughter….REALLY?!?!?!
I just reserved season 1 of Raising Hope at my local library yay!!! Sadly, even though they have Fringe s1, I got an ‘Error’ page.
I have to say, I could make a fortune predicting which shows will make it and which get canceled. My method is very simple, if I really love a show then you may as well sign its cancellation notice. I loved Alcatraz, and Terra Nova. This happens every season… I can’t remember the last time a new show I enjoyed watching had more than one season. I could be rich!
FRINGE – 15 (+1)
RAISING HOPE – 5 (-1)
Peter: When you say ‘Fringe Science’, you mean pseudo science?
Olivia: I suppose. Things like mind-control, teleportation, astral projection, invisibility, genetic mutation, re-animation–
Peter: Whoa, excuse me for a sec, re-animation? Really? So you’re telling me… what? My father was Dr. Frankenstein?
Finder was a great show, cast and writing. Bad move by Fox Execs for they are to blame in how they scheduled the show. Some times it was on after American Idol and then not…then moved to Fridays with little notice or fanfare. Well no wonder it failed to catch a steady audience. GET A CLUE on smarter programming from CBS.
@Nick
Enjoy RH…I think season one was its best so far. I love the show.

Walter: Neither Belly nor I ever left ourselves only one way out of a room!
Fringe S4 E19 “Letters of Transit”
Aww, it pains me to do this but…
FRINGE – 20 (+1)
RAISING HOPE – 0 (-1)
Ding ding ding! We have our winner! And right on the day I start watching and enjoying Fringe, too!

From Fringe episode 1.02 “The Same Old Story” -
Walter: [after being handed the phone] Just making some popcorn.
Peter: Walter, I’m with a woman in her mid-twenties. She is going into cardiac arrest due to an overdoes of anesthesia. [machine beeps] Her heart just stopped.
Walter: Do you have any cocaine?
Peter: Cocaine? No, I don’t have any cocaine.
Walter: Oh, that’s too bad. Going to have to shock her heart.
..Well it was always going to be Fringe, I called it on Day 1
I loved the Finder! My sister and I would watch that and NBC’s Grimm on Saturday mornings. When it got moved to Fridays i was like “nooooooooo!” because i knew it was doomed
@Dennis
They mentioned the CBS and NBC winners for you already. CW’s winner (a long time ago) was Supernatural. And I think the ABC game is still in progress. Going there now to vote since it’s too late for me to vote here now, lol. I was going to vote up Raising Hope, oh well. Congrats to Fringe.
@Dennis (and any other game players)
The game on the ABC thread (the final game still going) is down to OUAT vs. MF. Go on over there and vote if/when you can. I love both of those and don’t care which one wins now, lol.
Totally bummed about The Finder. I think that was a very entertaining show with a great cast.
Looks like Christmas…just read NBC’s and there’s a clear “death zone” with a line between red (low-rated) and green (higher-rated), but Fox just kind of jumps back and forth somewhat at random. Huh.
@tvfreak
Glad you’re enjoying it. People always act like the first half of Season 1 was bad, which is really not the case at all. But from the middle of the season (at around “The Dreamscape”) on, the show is truly amazing.
