Hah HIMYM finale is better than 2BG! I’m so happy, the better show got the better ratings

  • Ultima

I think this is the highest rated HIMYM finale so far, at least demo wise?

    Tied with Season 4 (2009).

  • KJ Styles

House’s finale will draw at least 3.0 or better. The storyline is intriguing, and a lot of former castmates are gonna make appearances. I hope Cuddy is one of them.

Glad to see Hawaii 5-0 get more than 11 million viewers. Was always getting 9-10 million during the 2nd season. Was a shocker to find out who “Shellburn” who McGarrett was seeking all this time actually was.

I remember when AGT was getting 16 million viewers last year. I can only imagine how SYTYCD is gonna do.

  • Networkman

WHOA!! at Mike & Molly beating Two & A Half Men in total viewers. It didn’t have to face DWTS and the show did exactly what it was supposed to do. It did face America’s Got Talent. So kudos to this show. Hopefully its demo numbers can improve next year. Lastly, it was a great episode that should garner Melissa McCarthy another Emmy Nomination.

Are you hearing any rumors about the fate of Rules of Engagement in advance of tomorrow’s upfront?

Wow, some Gossip Girl fans must be on crack to think those ratings were great for a season finale. They weren’t even good. Take those final 11 episodes as a gift and stop whining about a full season the show doesn’t even remotely deserve.

I’m not sure what’s going on with Hart of Dixie, but if it can get 1.6 million, they ought to be able to improve its demo by a tenth of a point. Maybe its lead-in is skewing its potential audience too young. It’s not a show I would likely ever watch, but I’m glad they renewed it. The show has performed pretty well, despite being a real underdog and having a terrible lead-in. It deserves a chance to see how what some real promotion might do for it.

    @KJ Styles

Personally I think the House finale will draw about 10 million viewers and close to 3.0. Given the fact most of the Nielsen viewers have deserted the show for some reason, I’m not expecting huge amounts to come back, which is a shame as this season has been quite good.

Hugh Laurie is easily one of the top 5 actors on American TV.

I think House might get a good finale. Maybe a three or above. i hope it does. Shame otherwise for such an iconic show.

Gossip Girl was fine and really did hold steady for most of the season 0.6/0.5 and x1 0.4.

11 episodes is perfect for the storyline’s to rap up. It has done it’s job holding well for the past 5 years in the nets target W18-34 demo. It was never gonna be huge in the 18-49.

I wish the actors this show has basically created all the success for their futures.

just curious. America’s Got Talent comes along and basically ouitrates the entire NBC schedule all season against multipul season finales and yet is considered a summer series. NBC should air this in the 2nd part of the year instead of 2 seasons of the voice and burn out the voice. both shows could be strong anchors for them

Aww… I’m so sad with Smash’ 1.8 season finale ratings. The finale is superb..!

GG did just fine for a show in its 5th season, its not the best lead in for HOD but I doubt HOD would be doing that much better with a higher rated lead in. Better but not by much. That being said I expect it to be paired with a new show next season which might help it a little, though I dont think any exsisting low rated show has ever beneffited much from being paired with a newer higher rated show it seems to be a hinderance to the new show more than anything. If they use HOD as a lead in for a new show next season we’ll probably all end up using the same excuse for the new shows low ratings as we are now with HOD having GG as a lead in. Basically next season HOD will be the GG. Besides HOD could have a worse lead in, it could have Nikita.

    Hart of Dixe

    Premeire: 0.8

    Season High: 0.9

    Season Low: 0.5

    Season Finale: 0.6

    Several bounces between 0.5-0.8

    The Secret Circle

    Premeire: 1.2

    Season Low: 0.5

    Final few episodes: 0.5, 0.5, 0.5, finale 0.6

    (No season high)

    Never trended up

    Premeire: 1.2

    Series Low: 0.4

    (No season high)

    Never trended up

It’s obvious why Hart was renewed while Circle and Ringer got cancelled.

  • Justin121

This was the Year of the Underdogs:

    Hart of Dixie
    One Upon A Time
    Cougar Town
    Body of Proof
    Private Practice

    All outran the Cancellation Bear.

Networg Darlings 30 Rock, Gossip Girl, The Good Wife, outran The Other Guy.

  • jamie

Yes, guys, I meant Dixie is the most watched show in the last week on The CW Tuesday to Monday.

And GG’s finale matched last years I believe.

  • Mark Wilkins

this week’s Supernatural episode hasn’t come yet so don’t declare HoD better then anything until we see the ratings for this Friday. Last weeks Supernatural did 0.7/1.58 compared to HoD 0.6/1.37 last monday, so SPN is the second most watched behind VD.
