Here are the trailers for CBS's new series from this afternoon's upfront meeting.

You can also check out the new series trailers from NBC, from ABC, and from Fox.

Made In Jersey

    Partners is horrible.

Elementary is lucky to be in a very easy timeslot, because it is so badly cast. Lucy Liu is repulsive.

Jersey girl and Vegas cowboy are okay, but nothing special.

CBS should have just stuck with CSI Miami, Unforgettable and Rules of Engagement.

  • Kat

I love the idea of Elementary. You can’t really judge a lot from a trailer, but this one intrigued me and I’ll tune in. :)

  • Sophia

So Partners looks better than I thought it would so I’m looking forward to it that much more. Made in Jersey is a ‘no’ for me. I’ll watch Vegas until I feel like it’s boring. & I might try out the Elementary pilot just so I can say I gave it a chance. Mid-season shows; Friend Me is a ‘no’ & I think I’ll see what Golden Boy is like.

  • wingwalker

Looking forward to Partners the most, looks good and love Michael Urie and David Krumholtz. Will check out Elementary and Vegas as well.

  • Cam

Oh no CBS. I tried to watch through the entire trailer/behind the scenes for Elementary and couldn’t. Maybe things will improve, but from this sneak peak it seems that they have managed to transform Holmes and Watson into just another police show clone like the billions already populating the CBS airwaves. As of now, for me, the Holmes and Watson essences haven’t translated well.

  • Leonard

After finally seeing the trailers Elementary looked a lot better than I thought it would. The whole Sherlock Holmes thing got me going like WTF but I like how its in present day unlike the movie. It reminds me of The Mentalist though.

Vegas too period to work long-term and Made in Jersey has cancellation written all over it. Made in Jersey is better than The Good Wife though.

Partners looks a lot more funny than I thought it would. Works perfectly with HIMYM and 2 Broke Girls. CBS needs more new sitcoms though.

  • Networkman

Elementary:A There is strong chemistry amongst Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu. Johnny looks perfect in this role. This is a must see for me.

Vegas:B There are strong actors but a period piece is going to be a tough sell. The trailer really did not help build anticipation for the show. I’m still going to give it a try to see how Mob vs Cowboy plays out.

Made in Jersey:C- I can see why the network paired it with Blue Bloods. I can tell this show also wants to highlight the family relationship. This is not my type of drama and the trailer did nothing to excite me. I’m not that thrilled with the female lead from London playing a New Jersey girl. I was not invested in this character. It reminds me of Close to Home in that spot.

Partners:D I really wanted to like this show. I love Micheal Urie from Ugly Betty. But this is bad. It is simply a rip off of Will & Grace. Watching the interaction of the two leads one can’t help but think about Eric McCormack and Sean Hayes. It is sad watching Micheal as a copy of Sean. The supporting characters don’t seem strong. I predict Rules of Engagement will return after HIMYM once this fails.

As usual, few CBS shows interest me.

Elementary – Why is everyone hating on this show? It doesn’t seem that bad. I don’t know anything about Sherlock Holmes and don’t care much for it but as a crime show, it kind of reminds me of The Mentalist. I won’t be watching (probably will see the pilot only) it though because I don’t like procedurals and I don’t like Sherlock Holmes (never even watched the movies). However, it was the only trailer here I was able to get through.

Vegas – Kind of reminds me of The Playboy Club. Seems like it could be good, but I’m not interested in these types of shows so I won’t be watching, not even the pilot.

Made in Jersey – Seems good. Don’t like lawyer shows so won’t be watching at all.

Partners – Not my type of comedy. I’m one of those types people that enjoy and can only laugh at dumb humor like Modern Family, P&R, Apartment 23, Suburgatory. The only “smart” comedy I watch is The Big Bang Theory, and only because the plotlines are interesting, not because it’s funny (I’ve rarely laugh, mostly cause I don’t get most of the jokes…)

So once again, ABC has the most shows that I will be checking out for sure. Can’t wait for 666, zero hour, last resort, arrow, cult, and the following!

  • Cliffmate

This is how I would rank them

    1. Elementary
    2. Partners
    3. Vegas
    4. Made in Jersey

I only like Elementary and Partners from this group. The other two are tough sells. Going to be a slow year for CBS.

  • Oliver
  • Leonard

CBS was better off sticking with Unforgettable over Vegas. That’s an early mistake there.

They should’ve kept Rob and Rules may still have a chance but it needs to comeback.

  • Jase

Not a huge CBS fan. Only shows I watch currently are ‘AR’, ‘Survivor’, ’60 minutes’ and ‘2 Broke …’ (from time to time).

Elementary looks interesting, but I’m not sure it’s worth my time. Vegas reminds me a little bit of ‘Magic City’ (Starz). Given that I didn’t care for MC after 2 episodes, I’ll pass on Vegas.

Made in Jersey looks/feels like crap, so…that’s a no for me. Depending on the competition, I may give Partners a shot as long as they can keep the typical stereotypes and such to a minimum.

  • Jonas

As a international viewer I could only see Vegas & Elementary, but by the sounds of it I wouldn’t watch Partners or Made in Jersey anyway.

I agree with everyone else that nothing can measure to the greatness of BBC’s Sherlock, that Lucy Liu was a bad casting choice and that there is a good chance that this will become another boring police procedural; however I enjoy Sherlock Holmes so I will try it.

My first thought about Vegas, was that the movie business must be doing poorly for a new tv show to have so many former stars. Secondly, I do see the parallels to Justified and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. In the beginning people called Hell on Wheels a knock off of Justified , and it turned out great.

I think you got your dumb and smart labels mixed up.

People sure have strong opinions about these shows from these short clips. I’ll probably end up trying out all of them unless they really tank in the ratings out of the gate.

  • NYC_Lover

Oh god. CBS Looks terrible. Last year had promise. (2BG, POI). But no, this years lineup looks TERRIBLE. I think CBS got too comfortable with their lineup and didnt want to put as much effort into new shows.

  • Bee

partners has potential. def. watching for sophia bush at least.

only interested in elementary and vegas for partners. but is either one serialized? because if not, i’m done with those as well.

  • Bookworm

Not really looking forward to any of them. The Sherlock one is not really what we need since we already have Law&Orders, NCIS, CSI and etc.

Vegas is…well I will have to wait for that one but I’m not exactly hyped about it.

The last two aren’t really doing it for me. Made in Jersey seems to be a little flat and we already get enough of Jersey and their people aka Italians with made makeup (not all) with JShore and such.

Partners is not really looking good to me; I did like Michael in Ugly Betty (him and Willie were my life) but I feel he is a little too flamboyant in this role. It doesn’t make it look real because I can’t see two guys like that being friends.

  • Bookworm

I loved Sophia in One Tree Hill has Brooke Davis but I don’t think this is one of her best roles. I really did like her in that movie with Sean Bean; I thought she was good there and in John Tucker Must Die but here, umm..not so much.

  • Rebecca

“I predict Rules of Engagement will return after HIMYM once this fails.”

Me too. No Partners for me.

  • j

These all look sucky. I might try Elementary only since it’s gonna be forever before Sherlock returns for its 3rd, overly brief but sure to be awesome season.
