This Sucks… I like their scheduele, but no “Rules” sucks…
At least it hasn’t been canned yet. Hopefully something can be worked out.
I think it will be back. If it was canceled they would have said something, and only one season has had a full season order, so I think it will be back for midseason.
or Friend Me wasnt on the schedule!
“or Friend Me wasnt on the schedule!”
Interesting. Nothing on Golden Boy either, or any news about mid-season. Perhaps all being held for RoE determination.
I am betting my quatloos on the mid-season replacement option as well.
Sara Rue (the surrogate) already has a role in ABC’s “Malibu Country” as Reba’s neighbor.
Well, assuming that RoE is being picked up as a mid-season replacement and Partners stays alive then maybe in the mid-season we may see that comedy expansion?
@Raykov,

IF all the comedies do well in the fall and IF POI drops? Maybe. But I wouldn’t put money down on it.
@Holly
I didn’t mean that the extra hour will be in the POI’s slot, despite that will probably be smart, but they can put the 2 comedies in Sundays or Wednesdays between Amazing Race/Survivor Cycles
@Raykov,
I think if they are going to expand their comedy offerings, they’ll do it on a more permanent basis rather than as filler.
ROE how about a saturday relaunch…..
Make the right move CBS, R.O.E. is one of your best half hour shows.
It will Probably get renewed. If CBS was going to cancel it, they would have announced by now, similar to Unforgettable, Rob, and CSI: Miami. It will probably be the show they network uses to fill a new half hour show’s time slot that did not work out.
Dagnabit! I hope they decide soon.
I’ve been nicer to stuff that I’ve flushed than CBS has been to Rules of Engagement. Consistently shabby treatment of a solid comedy with some decent stars.
If CBS’s intention is to cancel it they wouldn’t have necessarily announced it by now because the season finale airs tomorrow night. They just have to stall for two more days.
They could be putting it on saterdays like last season while not going to actually broadcast it on those saterdays…
@joel
That makes sense. So maybe we’ll know by some time Friday.
That CBS is even considering renewing Rules of Engagement, when it has five series with full season orders and six timeslots, means that they are really worried about the sitcoms they picked up.
I don’t it. How can you have ten-ish sitcom pilots and yet not have a single one that you feel confident about?
I don’t it.
Wow.
I don’t get it.
