CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR GOES ONE-ON-ONE ON ALCATRAZ ISLAND TO SEE WHO ESCAPES WITH “KING OF THE ROCK” TITLE ON SATURDAY, MAY 19

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR looks to see who escapes with the 2011 RED BULL KING OF THE ROCK title on Saturday, May 19 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; taped 9/24/11) from the notorious prison yard on Alcatraz Island. This year, the one-on-one basketball tournament is international for the first time hosting 64 streetballers from around the world representing 13 countries in the mentally and physically grinding competition. Los Angeles’ Isaiah “Clutch” Bowman looks to defend his 2010 title in what was the first official sporting event held on Alcatraz. It’s the ultimate test of will and stamina. Produced in conjunction with Turner Sports, Bobbito Garcia, Sal Masekela and Lauren Shehadi call the action for CBS Sports. CBS Sports’ Kimani Morales serves as coordinating producer.

 

HOMECOMING FOR “PBR 15/15 BUCKING BATTLE” ON CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR ON SUNDAY, MAY 20

CBS SPORTS SPECTACULAR rides into Pueblo, Colo. to broadcast the seventh-of-nine PBR 15/15 BUCKING BATTLE on Sunday, May 20 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; taped 5/19/12) at the Southwest Motors Event Center. The PBR 15/15 BUCKING BATTLE features the Top 15 riders in the world against the 15 highest-ranked bulls. The 15 bulls will be randomly drawn prior to the event and assigned a position from one-to-15. The Top 15 riders will be assigned their bull according to their series standings. The annual event serves as a homecoming for the PBR whose headquarters have been in Pueblo since 2007. Craig Hummer, Ty Murray and Leah Garcia provide the commentary for CBS Sports. CBS Sports’ Ken Mack serves as coordinating producer.
